According to Jeremy Williams, I can offer this about Red Pine Grove:

I remember the field was paved sometime in the 1970s

as a result of the spruce bud worm epidemic & used as a base for aerial application.

There are stories of TBMs & other WW2 aircraft going down in the North Maine Woods not only during WW2,

but as a result of old aircraft being used in the spraying project.

interesting i wonder how many old war birds were used and lost this way.

Hello Sakai are you from Maine? ive visited a F100 Voodoo crash site just out side the city of Brewer that was part of Dow Air Force Base

I'm from The County myself but never been that far west. Used to watch B-52s go over my Grandmothers farm
back in the 50's and 60's.

yes im near brunswick.did you know theres going to be another airshow at bnas even tho there shutting it down.

Do you guys ever go to owlshead shows?

Haven't been home in over a decade. Might not be till they plant my remains either, got a spot waiting in Limestone.
