I finally got hold of a Tracker IR 2, not the latest model but at least its much better than nothing.

I do need some help setting it up, the software and hardware work properly, but its not tracking because i don't have any reflective dots.

Is there any other material that will work, that gives about the same performance until i can order some reflective dots?

Also a good profile would be a great help, or any tips you can give me would be very helpful.

Thank You in advance,

Go to the hardware store and get some reflective tape. It works well.... cut out a .5x1" or so piece and stick it to something on the end of a hat... I used a 1.5" piece of paper towel tube... ping pong balls work too...

...track IR is going to change your 'flying' life man !!!
Well as for me I 'sacrificed' an old pair of cycling goggles by removing the glasses, then I stuck a reflective dot right in the middle of the nose bridge ...and here you fly !! no hat to wear when it's hot...

For profiles go there (I recommend Charvel's profile, there's one for track IR2 at the bottom of the page):

A tin foil hat perhaps?

Some guy at 1C was using a shiny clown nose in the 1946 DVD...

Cut one inch from a length of garden hose. Turn this little cylinder on end and then cut vertically through one wall of the pipe.
Stick a piece of reflective tape on the opposite side of the cylinder from the cut.
Get a baseball cap or a sport visor and slip the cut side of the pipe over the front of the peak.. Presto, one home-made trackIR cap!

As it turns out the Hat that came with the Track IR package has a reflective dot in the center of the cap, and one behind the cap also.

I was going to try some of those homemade ideas, but i just ordered 2 sheets of dots and until then, the hat will have to do.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Click this link and read/look through the whole thing. There's some good tips in there for users of older TIR versions.

I went to Home Depot and got some reflective tape and a 1" round wooden ball with a hole in it. I put a wooden dowel in the hole, wrapped the ball with the reflective tape and attached it to a hat with velcro. Worked exponentially better than the reflective dots that came with it and cost all of about $5
