This guys skins are very detailed. He has brought us Korea with 1946. Here is some of his work. I have flown countless missions using his fine work. Some other skinners are included here as well. Sorry if I did not mention you. But thanks for your hard work skinners. You really make the sim come alive for us offliners.

The Chinese in LA-7. In combat with the Mustang, the La is quite a handfull.

Very pretty! I want, I want!
Any links, Maico?
I've been working on an IAF-style P-80 skin, but skinning is definitely not my forte!
Give me some mission-building in FMB, I'm happy.
Skinning- well, my hat goes off to all those who labour so hard to bring us cool new skins!
Are these skins available somewhere, Maico?
Part of a campaign download, or.....???

@ 249th_Maico: Dude, how do you get the water to look like that (for instance pic number 2)? I thought I had my water on max, but it doesn't look like that...! That's a bloody painting!

Check in your conf.ini file, under the [Render_OpenGL] section:
change the Water=X (whatever you have here) to 4, and see what happens. Which setting is it currently on? This option is a resource hog, depending on your rig, but just for pretty screenshots, its what you want.

Maico - thanks for the link, I'm registered with flying-legends, heading there now!!

Just passing through and saw my name on the thread..I'm flattered, thanks for the compliments gents. Although I didn't do all the skins featured in the pics, if you'd like to see my complete works to date, they are all hosted at Mission4Today http://www.mission4today.com/

I've done a couple more for the KTO since my last posting at FL nearly a year ago, so M4T is your best bet. I think there may be couple of KTO campaigns in the works, but for now, the Kyushu map works fairly well for single mission purposes. I've included a single KTO mission in my F-80 squad-pack, so it might serve as a template for any user -made missions..I don't claim to be a mission-builder so please don't be too critical http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Combined with what some of my fellow-skinners have produced, there's a fairly broad selection of KTO skins available..considering what we've got to work with. They're all still out there, just have to do a little searching sometimes to find them. Best regards everyone ~RJ.

Now if we only had HVAR's on P51D's we could have Aussie Mustangs in the game! (Need 10 for accuracy!)

Thanks for the M4T link, Rudi.
Struggling a bit on the F-L site. I see they're doing a revamp there soon, and are looking for input to help improve the site. Anybody feel free to help them out, I've got a few suggestions for them, and the more the merrier, I'm sure!

Please excuse the shameless praise. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif I remember this guy created the Ki-100 as the Bloch. It made a one-o-nine pilot out of me for sure. Now you are bring us Korea with its near supersonic flight. Good STUFF! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif You are creating a good fanbase Rudi. Great Work. I applaud you. By the way, I work for CENTCOM, you in FL?

Yeah, I used some of this stuff in my current Red star/White star 1947 cmpn, mostly over Kyushu. These post war skins really set the mood.

249TH-Maico said "By the way, I work for CENTCOM, you in FL?"

Thanks again Maico; sorry, but I think my "last posting at FL nearly a year ago" comment, was a bit misleading..by FL, I was referring to Flying Legends, rather than Florida. FWIW,I was born/raised in a small logging town near Mt St Helens, spent 21 years in the Infantry (shooting mortars), and ended up in Colorado Springs near Fort Carson. And closest I ever got to being a pilot, besides IL2, was flying parachutes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif My father served in Korea as a Combat Medic with the 7th Infantry Divison for practically the entire war..was sent stateside after being wounded a third time at Porkchop Hill. Eventually, I would serve a tour there, along the DMZ, and saw the terrain and aftermath firsthand..gave me a newfound respect for all the veterans of that war. So hence my interest in the Korean War era.

Some additional skinners I would recommend for everyone's KTO-skin searches, are;

Tchaika (F-80s, F-51s, and a C-47 IIRC) http://www.france-simulation.com/index.php?op=edito

WarWolfe at M4T and FL (F-80s)

Hayate at M4T (C-47s)

BoNiddle, IIRC at FL? (some nice F-51s)

I know I'm leaving a couple of skinners unmentioned, so apologies for the memory loss..unfortunately I can't recall the skinner who did the big Corsair pack; and someone did some B-29s besides the one's I did. If anyone knows, please give them a mention here, thx. Your comments are much appreciated M8s, it's very rewarding to know you appreciate the efforts toward filling the KTO void (no pun intended http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) Best regards ~RJ

I spent most of my time in the Army's 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions. I was comms. Started out with Teletype in Seventh SF Group then was in Long Range Survailance Detachement at the 101st. I went to Desert Strom with the 101st I was stationed in Kuwait during Desert Thunder and Desert Fox. In 2001 I decided I had enough. Now I am a military contractor. Funny how life works out... Oh, I was stationed in Korea in 94-95.

This is water 4 here. The earlier shots were made using water 2. I prefer the performance of water 2.

Korea would not be complete without the excellent A26 skins. The A-20G does a good job of it. Here they go "feet dry" coming home.

They were not happy about us downing their bridge.
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1140/1381551330_9862d79005_o.jpg

IL-10s became mean! They even let loose with rockets.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1403/1381551356_f9855c30b7_o.jpg

My efforts to protect the bombers were met with stiff resistance.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1193/1380666061_a15c96ca36_o.jpg

I desperately tried to avoid thier cannon fire.
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1382/1380666053_34847f0a96_o.jpg

But you can only run and there is nowhere to hide. I lost an aileron witch meant full right rudder and out of the fight. I lost most of my P-80s and a two out of four bombers. But this is early Korea, a war of attricion.
