Hooray!!! I just got my new XPS Gen 2 Laptop today!!! I'm really excited!! In the original IL-2 I am now getting average FPS of 98, high 159, low about 70 with everything turned up highest. I can't wait to order FB/PF and check out the new water/eyecandy.

System specs are now 2.13 Ghz Pentium M
256MB pciE nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
1920*1200 wide screen TFT
1GB 533 MHz RAM
60 GB HD
etc...

I'll see if I can post some screenies later!

See ya round,
Chris

That's a heck of a system. And considering it's a laptop http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I think a few here would be quite jealous of all that power in a portable. I'm sure many don't even have those specs in their desktops.

I want screens.

Nice. Although dells desktops are not well regarded by gamers, their laptop is supposed to be topnotch.

Click on images for full-size, 1920*1200 pics. No AA/AF, not really cause I can't, but several of my other games won't run with it, I haven't quite figured out the profile thing, and I'm running out the door now.

Enjoy,
Chris

True, very true http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif It's only taken two years of begging, pleading, and fighting with an absolutely P.O.S to get here!

See ya in the skies,
Chris

Be Sure. However, I spend at least six months out of the year travelling, so a desktop is totally impractical. So long as I can run it and enjoy it I'm happy!
