Personally I'd have been happy to order from the UK but NOT have to pay VAT tax since I'm in the US. As it is, I just paid $25 or something for.. no reason.

And $50 shipping is a bit stupid, but hey I'm a collector and that version came with darn near everything I'd asked for, so why not.

UK VAT is not applicable on sales outside the UK and the Isle of Man and Ubisoft knows this yet continues to charge it.

I have contacted HM Revenue & Customs about this but I am still awaiting their reply. I do know that in certain circumstances VAT can be rebated.

See what i`m talking about...it`s been 4 days since i asked for a Ubi representative to answer my question and no one is taking the time to do so.
This is what i am in their mind...a pain in the buttt. I`m starting to loose all the respects i had for that company.

It cost me $147 to get my copy of the Delux Ed. sent to the US and $50 shipping does seem a little much but had to have it.

as far as i'm concerned...why would anyone pay for a tin box and an iron on patch ..ohh yeah don't forget the mouse pad.....and a few other trinkets that'll never be usefull in game ....just wonder how much was spent on r-d to make the trinkets and the package?....and how much was not spent on the software?...wonder if the bugs are going to be limited edition in the tin ..or if they going to be the same in the stock package..150 bucks?....yeah... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Could just have waited for them to hit Ebay and might have gotten one cheaper?.....Oh well. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

I agree that all customers should be offered that same deal: ....and if there are to be any "special considerations", they should go to the loyal SH3 family.

Personally, I am refraining from purchase for other reasons. (....which, I am sure, all are tired of hearing about by now!)

I agree entirely. Only problem: I don't have the money for the Deluxe, even with out the shipping http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

It's unfair that we have to pay more then others. I live in canada, a freind of france, so i think UBISOFT should pay some respect to north america!

Snortingbull, i`m out of torpedoes, my crew is tired so, i`m returning to my home base.

I`m done discusing about this. I tried to sunk a Battleship named Ubiyamamoto and i failed.

The only thing that can be done is by keeping that poll alive to show Ubi that we would appreciate the tought of a Complete Edition like the one in UK at a descent price.

Now, i`m going back to my cabin if you don`t mind

Even the best Kaleuns have to sleep sometime!

All I can say, is that it should be the same price no matter what country you live in.

I see the English have had some special treatment in the last month or so with the Ubisoft birthday or Anniversary and free stuff.

Since SH4 is considered US territory, does this give us Americans special privilages? Just seems fair game to me. Sorry to sound so negative, I just live in a neigborhood where my skin color is not accepted, in my own country, so can someone shed some light on this subject.
