View Full Version : They Dont Represent ME!!

I sure hope that the makers of this fine sim dont get the misunderstanding that the majority of us dont like the new upgrades due to all the negative posts. I have been flying airplanes for some time now and this is the best FM I have seen yet. I just want to make sure everybody knows, that the small, helpless, minority of armchair pilots who complain about the fantastic upgrade and huge leap towards a more realistic feeling FM DONT REPRESENT THE WAY MOST OF US FEEL! I say bravo! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif Now go back to arguing about the imagined differences between 4.0 and 4.1. Isnt there something more interesting to talk about like how much more realistic a "slip to landing" is now with the new FM or the effects of P-factor (which I feel is more acuratly modeled now) in a climb or decent and what to expect and how to correct???

Well Im glad to hear from pilots that the new FM is more realistic.Personally Ive noticed since the new patch Ive been able to make some attempt at dogfighting fighters on full real(all switches on)whereas before all I could manage was attacking bombers from behind! Some were saying the FM had been dumbed down-I just assumed practice had sharpened my skills!!!Strangely now I can also do the same in the original Il2Sturmovik(which is ALWAYS worth a return visit -sounds/immersion etc rather different- like comparing a 60s sports car with a modern one-both beautiful...)Anyway I guess what Im trying to say is that this sim(series) rocks!

Agreed! Nothing bites more than a whinging flock of b*tch-monkeys! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Cheers to those who make the concerted effort to listen to the community and make changes, and continue to provide communication and patches. Obviously Oleg and the crew are well concerned with making an accurate flight sim, and should be cut some slack on the minor glitches like "no prop" Spits, etc.

Whats wrong, you ladies cant handle "realistic" torque?

I just wish some of these Cessna 150 pilots would stop and think that there is a huge difference between thier training wheeled airplane with 100 horse power, and a very heavy 2000 horse powered tail dragger http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Fact is, its the way you "want" to fly. You dont want realsitic, you want unrealistic arcadish furballing. There is nothing wrong with that folks, thats what you want, thats what you get.

I for one love the new FM, I'm glad theres support from real pilots. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm really wishing that someone hadn't leaked the 4.0m patch, that would have eliminated all of the debate over 4.0 vs 4.01. Maybe Oleg needs to add an aircraft or two real quick and call it 4.1.

I really like the FM as well. Flying planes that I know have to deal with torque actually made me smile.

It reminded me of my old RB3D days when I was in the 95th aero squadron...

I like it and so do my two other friends that regulary fly with me.
