Hi Guys

Any of you tested the retail version of http://www.simmeters.com/workspace.html for IL2 yet?

I read that they have Simkits(tm) Wrapper so you can user these nice gauges in IL2:

So does it also lag like UDPSpeed (With lag i mean not running 100% real time/sync like in game gauges)

And did one of you guys actually test if he can get the simmeters software to run the simkits gauges for IL2?

gary did some stuff with simkits dials

would expect to see the same 'lag' with ingame dials as devicelink sends data about the 'actual' data of the plane, not the value displayed ingame- the ingame vsi is very heavily damped and thus lags behind actual by several seconds. both udpspeed and tango's p51, using another way of reading data, appear not to damp values read.

been keeping my eye on the use of air gauges thru an electron flux from here
noone's done it for il2 (yet?)- would have to write interface tho http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif but there is sdk

the ingame vsi is very heavily damped and thus lags behind actual by several seconds.

I thought VSI gauges always "lagged" due to the way they worked, at least those based on earlier technology (don't know about modern digital-based units.)

Nobody tested it yet? I also want to know, it would be such an addition to the entire game

A great addition for some people, yes. AFAIK DeviceLink doesn't work online.

Nobody tested Simmeter workspace application yet? ( so software gauges only, not talking about the wrapper to use with simkits gauges)

I don't want to buy allot of expensive gauge's and rely on somebody's part time hobby project to get them working (http://www.ge-tec.co.uk/FCIProject/fciproject_008.htm)

Their forum seems death as a dodo.
Demo cant be downloaded anymore.

So nobody of this forum buy and tested it he?

IF it would use something else to extract data (so not UDPspeed) would it then work faster then the udpspeed gauges that we have now?

Could it work by ripping the needed data straight from the memory?

Gauges do look 10x better then any udpspeed gauges currently made.

Their gauges looks so good.

Anybody know what happens when you buy it with paypal?
Because the simmeters guys don't respond to anything (email and forum) will your payment just be for nothing? or is payment and download of their software automated process?

Check the gauges:

Look at this thread http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/49310655/m/7201027043 , there are better looking guages in there that are free to download.
