The oldest man in Finland, Aarne Arvonen, has celebrated his 110th birthday on this day the 4th August.

He was born in 1897 and joined the Red Guards in 1918 at age of 20.

Lennart Rönnback is another Finnish Civil War veteran. He was born in 1905 and served in the White Guards.

According to his own word he thinks it's because he stopped smoking in the 1930's. He also moves a lot.
