I have a model of Bismark. As well a same scale model of Hood.

They both have 8x15 inch guns. On paper that makes them about the same strength. But wow those 15 inch guns on the Bismark are almost twice the size. That makes for a faster shell that is probably longer and heavier.

It's like a .22 vs. a .223. There's only a 1.4% difference in bore so they must be pretty much the same right? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

WRONG!!!

A .22 will splatter on impact and has a far smaller range of accuracy than a .223. A .22 has a maximum distance of about 100 meters with no wind. A .223 has a max distance of 600 meters with (at most) a 10 mph wind.

There are HUGE differences between the two, especially in round performance.

I think that was his point.
