Some controversial comments, maybe... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Whether true or not it is still you must admit a bloody good read!

I love that one. I tell you, in my mind that bit of footage that was on teh box has become Roman in its epic scale. I do so hope it resurfaces at some point, it was utterly jaw dropping.

I would really love to see that Vulcan though, with her little brood tucked under her wings... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Buccaneer was a beast, definitely the best Carrier Strike Aircraft of the ColdWar -IMO- before Grumman or Vigilante fans jump on me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. If it had more fatigue life in it there would be absolutely no need to replace it. Yeah sure it wasnt good at loitering at 30,000 ft dropping bombs on to camels and mud huts but at penetrating real air defences it was awesome.

One of the Phantom pilots in the thread said that he tried to close on one at sea level using reheat and he couldnt get in to Sidewinder range on it! lol What a great plane. Wish USN had bought some the it would have been developed and appreciated further like the Harrier was.
