I have to point this out, because I haven't heard it from anyone else yet. Sorry if it has been talked about already. I like the idea of 3D environments that HoMM 5 used but it was implemented terribly. I hated having to move the camera around to see everything, especially underground. Call me lazy but I like having my camera in one place the entire game and never having to move it.

I agree that 3D on the strategic map can be very annoying, especially in a tight area such as a dungeon where it can be hard to locate things as you spin around, but I'm afraid that ship has probably sailed.

this info has already been released in the post with FAQ and much more information

"Fixed camera angle
On the adventure map, to remove the necessity of rotating the camera to locate hidden items.
Easier to manage for players and map designers, feels like 2D navigation but with the benefit of 3D coolness"
