Pay no attention that that man behind the curtain! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gifOops, I mean, don't worry about those radio notifications regarding TF or Convoy routes. Unless of course you're very close to those locations to start with. Remember, they're not static targets. Just concentrate on historic routes and you'll be better off in the end.

Much depends on stock or mods. I know with stock these messages were common. It's like bird hunting, you have time it, the target is moving along a course, if you're hundreds of miles away it will have moved along. If you have course and speed and it's coming in your basic direction you may be able to cut it off, but convoys can change course and leave you in left field. Most stay in shipping lanes or head to ports, so you may be able to head it off, but unless it's a few hundred miles, you're probably wasting your time.

Those announcements just tell you of known sightings. Those targets are constantly moving, so you need to "Lead" them is you go hunting for them.

The easiest way I have found to find and track them is to figure out their course, sail at flank until you reach that course, then turn and sail along that line.
