Watch the rpms they gotta be low in order to engage MW50. Best is to set throttle below 40% (you may set it to 0% just to be sure, I would reccomend that) and wait for rpms to drop then press BOOST button to engage it. If you engage MW50 this way you will not ruin engine.

When you overheat drop immediatelly throttle below 100%, that should be enough to cool engine if messer isn't in climb. Of course it will overheat badly if you are climbing. So you can keep rad open during climb. And try to climb without MW50 if you aren't in combat. No need to overheat while cruising/climbing without bandits, you will overheat when they comes. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Basically once when engaged you can forget about MW50. It has if I'm not mistaken effect for about 30min. if engaged constantly. I never tested this however.

Also take note that MW50 works only on 100%+ throttle settings.

the MW50 in the Bf109s:

- enable it at low powersetting. as nobody knows exactly the border when the engine gets damage the best is if you enable AND disable it at 0% power.

-it will be only used at powersettings above 100% . and than you have enough fluid for 26min use.

-when MW50 is empty the ATA will drop ! than you have to disable the system , otherwise your engine gets damaged

-you can fly with cooler open, MW50 engaged, and 103% power all the time (26minutes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) without engine overheat. the DB605 in the Bf109s can run around 5min15sec in overheat condition before it get damaged.

It also works exactly on 100%

100%+MW50 gets you 550km/h at sea level.

100% alone gets you 520km/h.

I use MW50 all the time, but of course as has already been said, you must be below 100% on engine before you engage it.

I often leave it on for long periods and just shift the throttle, everything seems ok...
