A little update from the Devs would have been appropriate on this day, and welcomed by all - have they forgotten who/where we are? A little effort would go a long way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I have posted reminders on other forums.

Salute to all involved and I only hope that this day will continue to be remembered for the sake of our future and not only our past..

Thankfully the day will still be commemorated on Battle of Britain Sunday at Westminster Abbey.

is there a feast? or festival?

or does everyone wear an RAF roundel?

How is the day itself celebrated?

heywood,
Unfortunataly the Govt we have in the UK at the moment wants us to forget anything about our recent history in-case it 'offends' anyone, hence there is very little happening officially.
There is a petition running at the moment attempting to get 15th Sept recognised as an official day/holiday, however I won't hold my breath on this one......

Hi all,

Here's a clip from the Battle of Britain film that illustrates dogfights on September 15th 1940 and regarded as the climax of the Battle of Britain. 'Reserves?....none.'

Hi all,

Here's a few items from my battle of Britain collection. They relate to recovered parts from a crashed Spitfire and two shot down Hurricanes during 1940.

One item relates to the crash site of an RAF Hurricane pilot and includes the remains of his parachute.
