I have been buying this magazine at the news stands and it's mostly about military aircraft, ranging from the 1st world war to present. Usually something on WWII aircraft and not necessarily only US types either. This month has an article about two Navy Skyraider pilots
sharing a kill of a Mig-17 fighter in the early days of Viet Nam. Pretty interesting to say the least. Also an article about one very scary day for a B-24 pilot when they tried to raid Ploesti. Last month they had a good article about P-47s against the Luftwaffe. At least in the eyes of american pilots, so it was anecdotal.

I am looking at that issue on the table next to me right now. The article about biplane aces is what really got me to buy this issue.
I enjoy reading it on occasion, but find that most articles are short on details so that I don't go out of my way to have every issue.
The magazine seems to put too much emphisis on pilots biases and not enough on hard details for me.

I don't subscribe, but I try to grab a copy whenever I see it. They usually have high-quality British warbird mags in the bookstore too. I picked up Aeroplane last month with a bunch of Bf-110 stuff, restored Hurricane pics, and an article on the Lady Be Good.
