Hi all.
My wife just bought me this joystick, and i've red that there is an issue with VIA USB comtroller.
The info about the patch at the official website says that it only applies to 98SE, ME, 2000, but nothing about WIN XP.

Do I need to DL this patch? i'm asking 'cause when i'm playing FB, sometimes the stick get loose for about a second and then the stick get the "forces" back.
Also, i have a KT3 Ultra (Via chipset).

Any advice will be very appreciated.

Best Regards

Regardless, it's probably not a bad idea to go to www.viaarena.com (http://www.viaarena.com) and grab the latest "4 in 1" drivers that came out June 25 or so.

There is a good possiblity that you don`t even need it. I don`t remember installing it. When you buy FFB2 it has CD with all neccessary updates. I had all patches on CD...I think 2 of them. But can`t recall installing them. More likely i didn`t. Try it.. you should be fine.
My guess would be...if they didn`t specify WinXP then you probably don`t need it. I take it VIA problem solved..

V!

I have the sidewinder on XP and it works fine with the drivers that came on the CD.

Stupid question, but do you realize that the FF stops working when you take your hand off of the stick?

There is a sensor on the stick and it takes a moment for the FF to kick back in when you put your hand back on the stick.

Maybe that is the delay you are talking about.

My two cents.
