Today i played both acb and ac2 because i was wondering if the developer says is true. He says that acb will optimize pc hardware even better that its predecessors. But i don't understand about this.My ac2 gained up to constant 60fps doesn't matter where it is while my acb only get about 40 fps constant. For example in monteriggioni ac2, i gained about 55-60 fps while in acb i only gained about 35-40 fps. This is ridiculous. Any other having the same problem?
For me acb fps shall be higher since i think ac2 graphics is much more better compared to acb.

Specs:
Intel Core i5 2400 Sandy Bridge 3.10 GHz (3.40 with turbo boost)
4GB Kingston 1333 RAM
ASUS P8H67M LE Motherboard
Winfast GTS 450 1GB DDR 5 (OC to 910 core clock)
Cooler Master Extreme 500 watts power supply
Windows 7 32 bit

I had fps issues until I did a driver clean and direct X re install. AC2 ran quite badly aswell compared with other PC titles. I dont think its really optimised for PC hardware because of all the piracy

I can't say that AC2 runs perfectly smooth with my hardware. But I have a 24"-screen and so want(ed) 1200x1920 resolution, and of course some nice AA and AF ... But now, with a Nvidia GTX570 card, it's mostly quite okay, the remaining little stuttering due to loading-activities, I think.

'Brotherhood' on the other hand at first stuttered heavily. So I installed a newer driver, beta-version at first, now "official" version 270.61 -- which much improved the FPS. Performance roughly equals that of AC2 now, perhaps still somewhat less smooth.

But I don't agree that 'Broterhood'-graphics are inferior to AC2's. Quite the opposite: Most textures seem to be higher resolution which results in a "sharpened" image, especially with regard to distant objects. Also everything at medium or high distance has more "natural" colors, not as bleached out as in AC2. And then there are MUCH improved shadows (those in AC2 are terribly jagged and twitching all the time) and fewer flickering textures ...
These improvements might explain why the game demands for better hardware (on high quality settings).

I'd very much like to visit venice again (the complete venice..) with 'Brotherhood'-visuals ...

Im having a similiar problem where AC2 runs super smooth maxed on a PC that it should be expected but AC:Brotherhood never raises above 15 fps.

Is your computer an Asus by any chance?

GTX 460m 1.5 ram (notebook)
8gm ram
i7 quad.

Finished AC2, playing ACB right now. I don't understand it. My games play flawlessly at 60 fps with 1360x768 resolution. My computer is so low-end compared to you guys, but again it looks perfect. See for yourself

MY SPECS:
Samsung LCD 21" VGA
AMD Athlon II X2 245 (2.9 GHz)
