This nightfighter in its initial version had four 20mm cannons, two of them firing at 30? upwards, and two firing at the same angle downwards. Interestingly, this version had no forward firing weapons.

Upward firing cannons were probably aimed with a reflector gunsight, like on German night fighters, but how did the pilot aim downward firing cannons?

Maybe they could sight through the lower glass?

Thanks Berg, yeah I guess that's a distinct possibility. I assumed in the fighter version the nose was "solid", but it wasn't.
