If, say....one were to go to another forum here at UBI and spam wildly to say...oh, I dont know increase his post count, would it add to the overall totals or only in that forum?
IF the person were to get banned in such a another forum would then, his post count, be subtracted?
I noticed if you delete something your counter goes down.

I'm hardly amongst the ones with the BIGGEST numbers...and my posts are usually whining drivel on the Lock On forum anyway, they shouldn't count 1 for 1.

Besides, if you're spamming around to REgain your count, why couldn't anyone spam around to GAIN a count? Then what whould a high postcount mean?

Doesn't mean much now either...Nick Grey posted on to Lock On forum..."Over 1 postings" (before migr). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Way over the bow sorry.

Norway. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There's been some nice 70s shows on Norw. TV though...The Streets of San Francisco!
(starring: Karl Maldens nose! Co-starring: Karl Malden)

Love Boat, M*A*S*H (70s?), Hawaii 5-0 and some others, but can't remember any grasshopper reference.

I've noticed quite a number of members losing a hefty chunk. With my number I wouldn't want to take a loss.

I have mixed feelings about it. Some guys look at big numbers as too wrapped up in the forum. If a guy has been here for 6 months and has 2000 posts, it's easy to assume he doesn't have much of a life. I average about 4 a day, probably about the same as you Hawg (with your old count.) I do have a life, albeit a modest one, and this forum has become a pleasant escape. I play the sim much less than my time here. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

One piece of info I like with the new format is the date each member joined. That's about as meaningful as post count for me. I've seen some newbies jump to conclusion a very high count is not deserving of much respect. It didn't appear they were aware of time of membership.

Overall, in general I think it brings a higher regard and rightly so, unless the hight count poster is an obvious jerk. I'm not above respecting it; I'm not not too macho to want to.

I'm actually proud of my post count, 90% being non spam and tech input.
I like post counts, give you an idea of the thread- you see a post count of 3 threads and they are asking someing...."interesting" you suspect a troll- someone with several hundred posts is less likely to say something bannable or so off the wall as to threaten thier standing, however etheral.

Norway? Cool shooting team you have.
grasshopper was the young apprentice lad in a kung fu martial arts show. The old man would say "so you see grasshopper" when the kid would have a relavation or get to the "next step" of whatever the show was about that week.

Norway has an excellent shooting team, biathalon. very competitive.
The cartridge (6.55x55 Scan) was in part the work of a group, one from Norway. The others Fin and swiss to try and get decent chamberings from all those generic 6.5x55 chamberings.
