View Full Version : OT: Multiple Accounts and new usernames

Something on my mind that's been bugging me. Why have some here insisted on creating new accounts to do the same old thing they have before (several in mind here I won't name). Nothing wrong with wanting to change your username say if you are bored with it (if it is possible) and are open about it (like I thought about doing). But some are gutless and either adopt a new name, leaving the old one, but spew the same old tripe which leads the vets here to address them by their old name, while more seriously some have even been accused of multiple accounts at the same time ... which would be a matter for admins I would think.

What say you all?

Sure. Like when that schmuck Low_Flyer Mk II changed his name to Low _Flyer Mk Vb and thought we wouldn't notice?

Seriously though, there's a couple of deeply suspicious low posting members here, like that FancyRoyOnYourLix fellow, who really should be shown the door but in the absence of an IP address that matches a known member, which is pretty hard to get with so many dynamic IPs around, I'm not sure what the Mods can do.

Probably lock this thread actually.

It's the gutless trolls I'm talking about who obviously think we are stupid. Look at the TW thread for example. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Yea it annoys me a bit (no not Low_Flyer) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

sometimes you just loose the ability to sigh in with your user name. Format, changed e-mail accounts, bad memory. Other times, I think that it could be bordom, and as you say some are gutless

It's a forum on the internet.
If it bothers you so much, go get a therapist.

Or just learn to laugh at it.

Nah, Hristo's was much funnier than Kurfurst, although I'm pretty sure he's FancyRoy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nah, no need to spend that kind of money. I was pondering if it is permitted by the rules and just musing as to how ******ed some of these dudes think we are. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

You must be talking about slo123 er... slo1-2-3 um... or is it Slo1-2-3...uh Slo123? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That dude must have the worst memory on record. He's forgotten his login and had to start a new account at least four times that I can think of.

Cheers,

If like me, you post on a number of forums then unless you use the same name you do sometimes forget your name or password.

On some forums it is fun to have two i.d's (esp political forums)just so you can wind up certain people (BTW, when you see my name it is me!)

On a game forum it should only be your online name that you will/whould use. On a lot of games that I play online (not this game at the mo, I'm not good to go on-line) I use this username.

Should I be banned or not? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif

I did consider "The TulleyTubbies" after that well known programme we sold to the USA lol, but thought better of it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

What about those of us that have only one name and remember to hit the "forgot password" button when we forget our login?

Do we get a cookie?

OK, you get cookies, but were not guaranteeing they won't be burned by the time they get down there. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

I think its mostly the Tupperware crowd. And the extremists too I guess. A second ID is like writing on a toilet wall.

An internet forum can be played like a very refined game. Though it's rare to spot it being done well.

I have dormant bank accounts because I forget about them. Occassionally I get mail from banks I've never heard of saying they've got some of my money. I've found the more I move the less I hear about it. I put it down to being half man half squirrel, so I don't know where I've buried all my nuts.

Well Siggi got banned and needs to come back and push for a sim that's easier to fly
or get others to fly one that is. Not sure but I think if he gets enough people to
say he got em to join up then when it goes to pay-to-play he flies gratis so many
months per pal.

Look at his latest, now he claims that FB stalls are canned. We also get that all FB
planes fly the same which uh-huh, right, that's why all the whaaaa's over Spitfires I
guess.

Always easier to complain and whine than actually learn. Not yer fault you can't hold
speed is it Siggi? Real is what you think and you know it as you are a master pilot!
