It is most likely just the wind blowing your plane sideways try locking the tail wheel ( after rolling forward a little so it points in the correct direction).

For the first couple of tries I used chase view to help me get an idea of what the plane did as I controlled it.

Helped me.....

In the Foxhound's Kennel is...

Duron 1.2 Ghz, Win XP, 512MB PC133, , Ti4800SE,SB 5.1, Dx9.0a and a small fowl in a fruit tree of indeterminate origin.

Use full right rudder then!

I'd never join a club that would have ME as a member!!.

thunderstorms have crosswind

the wind will be "weathervaning" you into the wind but once your wheels leave the groung the same wind will blow you sideways the other direction

lock tailwheel
use full throttle and even WEP to get control authority on the rudder
apply full rudder and push stick forward to get ground speed up .. as soon as you rotate release rudder
