View Full Version : My new fun training mission....

The only thing that has been fun for me lately is this mission I cooked up in the QMB.
It is really addictive for me, to try over and over again to beat it.

On dead full-realistic settings I pit myself in a bf109G2 against 16 ace opponents on the Smolensk map at either 1000meters or 5000 meters altitude. The opponents are four 1942 SpitVbs, four Yak1bs, four 1942 P-39s and four 1942 Lagg3 type35s.

That is it. I usually take a half tank of gas. And I also usually equip the plane with the two extra 20mm cannons in underwing pods.

It actually seems easier to get five kills and become an ace in this mission than it is with just eight opponents because you have twice as many targets!

This sure is a deadly mix and bad odds to go up against though, but you will not be bored fighting for you life. My goal is to disable all 16 opponents. I have not done it yet, and don't hold your breath waiting for me to do it either, I feel lucky when I can even get five of them before they gun me down.

Try it out and post how you do maybe.

I have several runs in Spitfire MK.9e CW versus 8xBf-109G10 + 8xBf-109G6AS. I didn't made it, although I remember that I have won in the Spitfire MK.9e CW versus 16xBf-109K4 in v3.04 (I shot most of them down 11-12 of them).

AI is tougher now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

My personal record is one spit v5b against 240 Bf g-6. It was on the mountain map and i tricked them to follow me in several mountain climbs. The rest i finished of shooting down. It was a bit funny see them all crash. Maybe AI is not so dumb anymore...
