Any idea on what the tracers will be for the Fokker D XXI? I actually the green Russian tracers would suit it more...

I presume yellow/red. Maybe we will get version fitted with oerlikon cannons (20mm) underwing (Finnish AF used it in Winter War against VVS), although they weren't produced in serial with these cannons and there was only few of these aircraft (I know serial of one of them but I must check out that). Color of those tracers (20mm)... I don't know maybe white/yellow?

Hmmm rightio thanks....but I'm pretty sure the 20mm version will be AI only

Fokker D.XXI-1
First production aircraft, delivered to Denmark. They were powered by 1 Ӕ Mercury VIS radial, armmed with 2 Ӕ 0.312 in (7,92 mm) guns in the fuselage and 2 Ӕ 20 mm Madsen cannon in large underwing gondolas faired into the undersurface of the wing just outboard of the main landing gear units. Length was 23 ft 7.5 in (7,20 m), empty weight was 2,701 lb (1.225 kg), max take-off weight was 3,858 lb (1.750 kg), max level speed was 245.5 mph (395 km/h) at optimum altitude, cruising speed was 207 mph (333 km/h) at optimum altitude, range was 559 miles (900 km), and service ceiling was 29,530 ft (9.000 m)
Number built: 2

True it seems that only 'serial' produced Fokker that is fitted with 20mm was in fact Danish.
Nevertheless, Finns used D.XXI equipped with similar cannons s/n FR.26. On 29 Jan 1940 2ndLt. Olli Puhakka shot down an 43.DBaP DB-3M and he used only 18 rounds from Oerlikon cannons.

Unfortunately I was wrong and it seems that this is in fact the only Finnish Fokker equipped with these cannons. And those were removed from FR.26 soon after that event, machine guns were fitted instead.

About tracers, considering that the guns on D.XXI-2 are Browning (unfortunately on site with link above color of tracer isn't mentioned) I presume tracers will be same as .303 Browning MGs in game.

There was never a serial production of D.XXI's with 20 mm canons. The Danish ordered their D.XXI's with two 7.7 mg's and wanted to equip them with 20 mm themselves. This was only done for two of them. But Danish D.XXI's never saw action.

The Finnish also tested with 20 mm. The wooden wing structure was not solid enough to provide a good gun platform to carry the 20 mm's.

For FB the following versions have been modelled:
Finnish Sarja 2 (Mercury) + cockpit
Finnish Sarja 3 (Mercury) + cockpit
Finnish Sarja 4 (Wasp engine)
Danish version
Dutch version

Skies: The Finnish D.XXI's had a modified gear (looking thicker then the Dutch and Danish versions) which was suitable to be exchanged with skies. So, skies or wheels don't make different versions.

And if someone wonders why the Finnish Sarja 5 is not modelled: Sarja 5 was only a second production batch of the Sarja 4, so technically not different.

The bottom one can be your favorite, but it's the worst performer of the lot. It has a slightly weaker engine and more weight then the others.

All Mercuries (VI (Danish), VII (Finnish) and VIII (Dutch) performed more or less equal. The Dutch version is noted to be slightly faster and to have a better ceiling (11000 meter over 9000 meter)

Just a few corrections mate. Flyable Fokkers are both series 2 or 3. Series 1 is similar but it didn't originally have a rear window. Later it was added to all series 1 planes. So basicly series 1-3 planes are flyable.

Two pits are labeled as EARLY and LATE. Early is Winter War Fokker and LATE is Continuation War Fokker. Between the wars, Fokkers got some improvements. Armoured seat and extra armor for pilots head was installed and also self sealing fuel and oil tanks. Armor mainly effects the rear view.

(fake pic, rendered in Max with bad lights)

My intention was to put Revi sight to the LATE model but polycount and texture limit didn't allow this http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif
