I know this has probably been asked, but I am one of the folks who has not gotten 4.05 after reading about the problems others have had. Any chance that 4.06 will have the option of paying a slightly higher price and getting 4.05 with it?

Thanks,
Sledgehammer2

It would be a great idea and it has been mentioned - I just hope they would consider doing it.

Me thinks: No. It's not a great idea....

Why would they?

If they would:
I already got 4.05m. I payed for it. Should I pay for it one more time?

If I do not have to pay for it one more time, then you'd get it (4.05m) for free! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Oh well, they could create two sets, one with 4.05m ánd 4.06m, and one for just 4.06m, priced accordingly ... yeah, that would be a great idea! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

Best chance for you 'wait-and-see' folk is to 'wait-and-see' for 4.07m, including 4.05m and 4.06m, then wait some more, for the final patch, and, wait some more untill there's a very specially priced complete-ulitmate-merged-perfectly edition in the bargain bin!

Laugh all you want but after all the boonty-box fiasco bullsh*t I would like to avoid that if at all possible.

OK, then I guess the next question is , have they ever gotten 4.05 to where it is more easily attainable?

rofl - it's easy enough to attain, installing it without the boonty stuff is the challenge, although that's not too hard by now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I got a feeling they will or at least re-offer it again.

There are a whole bunch of people, including myself, that have not bought 4.05 and many will not buy it all screwed up with Boonty and "special" instructions.

I suspect there will be a 4.06 and a combined 4.05/4.06 for a little more money...at least I hope because its gonna take that to get the hundred or so people on Hyperlobby not flying 4.05 every night to put up some money

They already mentioned Luther is busy developing missions for 4.07. Given that they tend to hint news in a vague, coded manner, I am betting that they will combine with 4.05 thru 4.07 to make sure that everybody will buy the combo. The on-line community is already split, and the new little spin-off company can't afford another debuckle. Selling all-in-one DVD will definitely help both the community and the developer. The only question is whether Ubi would say yes. I bet they will.... After all, all those who bought FB-AEP-PF will definitely buy the DVD. Am I too optimistic?

I still beleive they should seriously consider putting the addons on a disk all together for a combined price of all three after they eventually release them as downloads, I still don't like the idea of paying for downloads at all and alot of people are still on 4.05 cause of that and would probably upgrade if there were a disk.

a reader subbmitted a letter to a magazine called pc pilot (current issue) looking to know where he could get il 2 sturmovik series complete edition (v4.4) . the reply he got was that it has now been superceded by a version called il2 sturmovik ultimate editon which now contains the petlyakov pe2 (v4.o5). details are supposed to be on ubisoft's site .didn't check yet. so we may get it all on dvd eventually i hope

I recently read at SimHQ that all three are being put on one DVD, and UBI maybe waits for RRG to finish the 46 addon, so they can sell them all three together.
