Does any one know if there is any where that has a list of the scales on each of the maps or an easy way to work it out for each one?

The squares you normally see are 10 Km by 10 km across the board.

If you zoom in in FMB I think that they change to 1Km^2 at a certain height.

Some are even larger though. Don't the larger ones use 100km by 100 km?

it would be easier if you zoom out fully in the map...then i think that each square has a 100km squared aread...

i might be wrong..tully always knows...

Mission and briefing maps, 10x10 or 100x100. The scale on the top and right edges gives a map reference for each 10km grid.

If you go to the bottom or left of the map you'll find a very pale grey number (almost invisible against the default map colour) on every tenth grid line. This number is the distance east from or north from the extreme bottom left corner of the map when fully zoomed out. If you zoom in and aren't sure of the scale from the numbers at top and right, find the bottom/left references and scroll from one to the next to find the difference in KM over 10 grid squares.

In full mission builder you can zoom in much further getting 1km and and on some of the smaller maps even 100m or 10m grid squares but you wont see that while flying missions.
