I am currently on it. At 1 mission per day until the end of the war, is it going to be B-17 interceptions for the next 400 missions?

It seems to be the same thing every mission - intercepting the bombers. Nearer the end of the war, do you get to handle the tactical bombers and have the Soviets show up near Berlin too?

I don't know. I'm playing Kuban 1943 and was supposed to be transfered to the Kursk area next but that hasn't happened yet and its well into July so I may be stuck here for the next two years.
Ya gotta download all the B'17G skin packs at flying legends.

Kameron check out the next subcampaign start date.... easiest way to check it out is to create a new campaign just don't start from Kuban 1943 but from the next subcampaign... you'll see the starting date.
Then compare that date to date in your ongoing campaign and you'll know exactly when you'll be transferred to a new map.

Some experienced DCG guys can tell for sure if you can end the campaign earlier... if you or the enemy met the objectives of subcampaign.... for instance I'll probably capture Singapore (playing on IJA side) in March 1942 and thus probably end that subcampaign.

I had the opposite problem with SP DCG campaigns, starting with USAAF Pearl Harbor. Really short campaigns & no opposition.

I got 3 missions (the normal length) with incoming Vals/B5Ns. OK! Cool.

Then I went to New Guinea. First mission was a long ferry to the main base. No air opposition. Second Mission was a long patrol. No air opposition. I strafed some ground vehicles.

Next mission said that the Japanese had left the area! I could still fly sorties but there were no enemies on the map.

I flew 3 missions (took off & landed) waiting to go to the next segment. Of course there "was nothing to report". Didn't advance to the next segment, so I quit trying.

Went to a DCG USN pilot with 3 different campaigns (SBD/F4F/DCG Navy Pilot). Flew the 1st 2 missions of each one. No opposition! Chees'

Went to a DCG Russian I-16 vs. the Finns campaign. I've played only 1 mission (escort I-153 "bombers"). When the 153s were close to Russian territory, I left them. Found some Gladiators under a thunderstorm. Very interesting dog fight. Hope this is a longer campaign and it segues into the next.

In the 20 DCG campaign missions I've tried, I have a hard time getting ANY air action. If I want a fight, I've got to go out of my way and seek one out. I've got my intercept chance set to 100%. So why no air opposition coming after my guys?

My enthusiasm for DCG is waning.

Any suggestions? OneMug

Next mission said that the Japanese had left the area! I could still fly sorties but there were no enemies on the map. This depends on two things..... your actual DCG setup (I don't know what you've been doing there) and campaign settings.... for instance if you have unlimited ammo you can inflict serious damage to the Japanese in one mission only. Not to mention other allied units and that's nasty since every destroyed target in DCG counts.

Any suggestions? OneMug I have no many suggestions other than - you should really check the What's so great about DCG (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/8391037455) thread that has been posted here lately.... scharnhorst wrote almost everything there is to know about the DCG, so that will probably help you.

Here are my ongoing IJA campaign screens:

...I fly on "normal" length... so I will get more missions this way than if I flew this campaign in WW2, for real http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
I'm still on first subcampaign, flying the Ki-27 and flew 74 missions

Dkoor, thanks for the reply.

ROFL .... you mean that hit and run campaign? IMO you should get only one mission there.... that means you got two missions too much!

Well, I started Pearl Harbor 3 separate times and always got 3 missions, so don't know why.

My actual DCG set up?
I'm not on unlimited ammo.
I'm on 100% chance of (my flight) intercept but get none. That's what's bothering me.
I'll keep reading about & piddling with the DCG options.

I have read and posted on the "What's so great about DCG" thread. Guess I'll run through it again.

Also, I'll see how my next DCG I-16 vs. First Finnish war encounters go. First one was good, although again, I had to seek out the enemy. They didn't come to get me & my flight.
