I went through my mission set and replaced all my test runways 1 & 2s to #3. I also added some #4s in one mission. To my surprise all these bases turned into airstarts. I know my placement is good for the runways due to going through this a bit with the older ones and what gives with the water base. Not happy right now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif. Just wasted almost 3 hours upgrading then revearting everything back. There is no point putting this under the whine http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif thread, I mean bug reporting thread. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Otherwise things looking good in 4.01m. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Funny, I just changed a runway from #2 to #3 and my flight started normally on the new #3 runway.

What you may do is go back into one mission text file and try changing...

0_Static ships.Ship$RwySteelLow 1 21309.33 34527.53 360.00 0.0 0 2 1.0

back to...

0_Static ships.Ship$RwySteel 1 21309.33 34527.53 360.00 0.0 0 2 1.0

To quickly find the runway lines in the text file, word SEARCH for "ship" or "static ship"

See if that works. The label difference is "Low" for #3 runways.

If you place the runways slightly touching each other, you have airstarts.

It is a nice F E A T U R E because you can allocate only bombers at this base and give your bomber pilots a fairer chance in dogfight servers.

i have found that only 1 runway of the #4 type is needed for the airstart. Same with the #3
