LOL - I've had my red light working since SH2 - first it was in one of the ceiling fan lights - now it's one of the 3 sockets of my floor/pole lamp - always gets a great reaction from the wife and kids when they walk by my door and see it on - sort of like the do not disturb/"on the air" light on a radio studio door http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Haven't gone that far. Though I have bought a case of Becks, but I don't stow 'em under my bed.

Took the safelights out of my darkroom for that very purpose. It actually does help when playing at night.

Had one for years..............

We used to have one in the bedroom (!).

Mrs. Twelvefield is a nurse (she doesn't throw roses), and does night shifts. We thought a red light might allow someone to get up at night while the other person slept.

At night, after putting on what I thought were grey clothes, but weren't, not by a long shot, we splurged on a really cool remote-control light-dimmer that works much better.

Funny thing is that now two of our neighbours have red lights in their bedrooms...

I just watched (OK, the first 2.5 hours of) DasBoot. The light were blue not red. (Red is better in my opinion, but I thought I'd mention it here)

So is it supposed to be red or blue?
I know modern subs and US WW2 subs were red..

But if it supposed to be blue ( maybe they couldn't film with red light) how could the gamemakers miss that?
