View Full Version : WHAT ABOUT DESMOND!!!

I just watched the first Dev Diary. AND THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT DESMOND, THE PATHETIC! (Sorry, that reflects badly on me, doesn't it?) HE WAS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!!!! Anywho, The AC Universe IS ABOUT DESMOND!!!!! They appear to have dropped all pretense of a story, and are focusing completing on milking this series, which has a rather good story, of all the money and fans it has! It appears the whole story of Desmond has been dropped. SO THE DEVELOPERS LIED WHEN THEY SAID IT STARTED EXACTLY WHERE THE GAME ENDED!!! The last game ended with Desmond. (Not a spoiler... If you say it is, I will call you a troll.) So my question for you people is, will Desmond be in Assassin's creed: Brotherhood? If not, do you think he should?

Also, feel free to post any ideas on the (hopefully) REAL begging of AC:B.

Ofcourse he is in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
You'll be able to do even more with Desmond in AC:B (heared someone saying that in either a video or an interview, not sure which one though). They didn't drop the storyline, they would be pretty stupid if they did, but he's still following his ancester, Ezio.

Slime is right. They've confirmed that Desmond WILL be back in AC: B, and will be doing a LOT more. I doubt they will give out any info about what he'll be doing, but if they do, they'll probably give that info out a lot later.

I suggest you change your posting style a little as people may lose respect for you if you maintain that kind of attitude.

You can get your point across without the swearing, caps and overuse of exclamation marks.

Considering that was the first Dev Diary and you're making assumptions wihtout knowing all the facts I suggest you wait until they release more before you create rambling and completely useless threads.

they wont say anything more about desmond, because they never have. both for ac1 and ac2 we only got a paragraph of details on desmond. why? because that's the bigger mystery, so many things can happen in the animus but the important story line is desmon's. they can reveal the whole story and plot of ezio's story and we would still have 50% (if not more) of the game still a mystery.

That's what I tried to say, but couldn't find the words for it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Try taking it upon yourself to find them, people have confirmed that the sources are there. It has been mentioned many times by various developers that Desmond will feature greatly towards the end of the storyline.

Doing proper research into the game might help settle any further worries you have so I suggest you read through Everything we know about Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/8561058178) thoroughly and also watch as many of these (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/assassins-creed-brotherhood/13148) videos as you can stand to get yourself up to speed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I concur, the OP seems to be under the impression that the Dev diary is the only thing Ubisoft have released containing information on Brotherhood. There is plenty of other information out that, and some of it does contain details about Desmond's story.

Also, caps are not fun; if you want to emphasis something, use italics. And using exclamation marks does mean you are shouting...

Or caps mean you are excited..... And what everyone else thinks about fun is irrelevant, as fun is an opinion.

Life is an opinion, but your opinion is worth nothing if noone is willing to listen to it.

Respect for others should supersede fun in situations like this. This is a high traffic forum with many regular users and for them to value your opinions and treat you with respect they have to appreciate the consideration and effort with which you post.

Spamming posts with caps and exclamation marks doesn't really create the right kind of atmosphere. Get yourself up to speed on the game and if you have any questions ask them in a organised and decent way and I'm sure a majority of the regular, more knowledgable users will be willing to help you out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Desmond is my favourite bit of the storyline as well so I see where you're coming from.

AC2 was brilliant, and in my opinion, ALMOST perfect. One thing which I thought would have made it even better was... More Desmond. I don't particularly like the character (not that I dislike him) I just love the story.

So I too was hoping for More Desmond. And yes, they have said Desmond will feature more in AC:B. They can't really "drop" the storyline can they? It's half, if not more, of the whole storyline its self. In fact it IS more, its all of it?
We only go back to see Ezio to train DESMOND. (And find the vault) So yeah, it would be quite impossible to "drop" it.

Please explain your definition of "spamming posts." As I only posted twice, not counting the original post. Also, I was fully aware of the Forum rules, as I was became a member originally shortly after the forums were created. I do not believe I posted in all caps....

EDIT: I am a regular user. My previous account was lost, as I lost the e-mail it was linked to.

Mate, there are going to be more Dev Diaries!

This one was just an introduction.

Plus, they won't be releasing too much Desmond info, so they don't spoil anything!

As already pointed out.. this is only the first dev video.

And as always info is a closely guarded secret - I for one do not want spoilers, so they don't always show everything, neither should they.

I personally prefer finding out for myself..
