Does anyone have any good tracks for downloading instead of these mega movie downloads?
The download time is one tenth of that of a movie file and it looks much better!
Because you can view them in the IL-2 FB engine which looks awesome as we al know!

Sorry bud, I'm dry.

Hello Dutch,

If the movie was completelly made by one single track then yes it could be possible but that is not the case for 99.9% of the IL2 movie makers. We all take bits of different tracks and piece them together, very similar to what a real movie director does. This way we can have different perspectives and correct view angles, colors, enviroments that we wish to show you on a short film. I think that it is worth the extra download time to see these fine short films that many of us IL2 fans like to make, just think of it, these people invest hours and hours of hard work for your pleasure to see it and the only thing that you pay is the time to download. Not many things are free these days.

Enjoy.

Hi NTESLA and UCLANUPE

I'm must say that i'm a big fan of your videos, (i'll be posting my first try tomorrow sliced a bit with winrar)

I'm using FRAPS for recording but i must use screen resolution set to 640x480 (16 bit color depth since Directx works smoother for me than OpenGl) so planes look just fine but the landscape is not clear and crispy like yours.

What's the secret, do you have top notch video cards or do you set your screen resolution higher ?

Good flight to you !

Nonsense, I verified the joints twice!: This was the answer given by chief Mechanic Klaus Stoeffel to Oberst Lotar Von M├╝llenbrock when he complained about some strange vibrations in the wings of his Me-262 during take off. This picture show that Oberst Von M├╝llenbrock's fears were in fact quite real.

Well, we do our stuff in 32 bit mode, which alone could be the difference that you see. We also do some post recording and compression manipulations with the clips to make them the quality that we are aiming for. Windows MM2 has some excellent compression modes that can spit out a nice hi res color rich product. Cheers!

Hello!

Glad to know another movie fan!

I personally shoot my 'films' on 800x600 32bit using a PNY Nvidia Ti4400 128MB card running Quincunx AA. Used Camtasia instead of Fraps and MS Movie Maker 2 for the final editing. Processing all of it is an AMD XP2100 on 512MB PC-2100 CAS2 RAM.

Hi guys

Nice to receive new from you...

NTESLA if you record your tracks in 800x600 you won't have the complete screen on it so i suppose you set Camtasia to record just the centre of the screen. I tried that software but it killed my fps (Athlonxp2000, ONLY 256DDR 333Mhz Ram, Gf4 Mx440..this with ram are my bottle necks i know....), can you give more details on wich settings do you use.

Right now i'm trying to post my first movie attempt but can't find a free hosting site that could allow me to upload just the movie file (Ô┬┐any suggestions?) because i don't want to make my own website (i really don't know how to do it!).

Good flight to you !

I have some here:

But most of them are "old" and I'm still a nub.
