so in 1.0 was all right?
is realy nice
alt 4500 speed 750--------> vsi in 5m/s------------->speed go up and up and up 2 900+ ------------> about 9500m halllllilujjja speed go down and at 10000m! is go in horisont 830km/h
look about 262 - after 6000 this craft have 2 be lost speed characteristik, even if we have ideal 262 and it climb with 900+ with acceleration, but engine if is lost after 6000, why is still accelerate in 900+ 2 9500m!!!!?
i say some thing wrong?

no no no, 830 was after climb from 9500 in 10000 speed ~980
in 9500 ~1010, nice isn't?

Of course TAS can be lower than IAS: If the temperature is
below standard at sea level, and thus the density is higher than standard. But I still think the game is wrong. Take an E6B and check it out!

Well the 262 has definately been castrated in the new patch.
It is physicaly impossible for a single prop aircraft to generate more thrust than twin turbo jets on a single aircraft.
Yet post Patch prop aircraft in FB seem to be able to out perform the 262 in vector climb, level flight, and dive capability, somthing they could not do in real life.

How this situation came about is beyond me, especially when you consider that in real life most 262 pilots flew around at2/3 to 3/4 throttle, because rapid closure on targets in air combat was a problem for these early jet pilots, and the Allied fighters really struggled to get near or keep up with these Jets running at 2/3 tp 3/4 throttle.

man, i didnt say about ias, juast about tas, look at dokuments and grafics of speed 262, lower than 6000 is god of war sky higher is lost speed and just angel, what we got in game - in climb from 5000 with climb rate 5-10m/s in vsi
we just c speed go up, after 9500 characteristic is go down<-------- what has 2 be after 6000
in docks we have 6000m 830-870km/h (difrent)
so if we have lost speed just after 9500 we trim it on 9500meters and what ##### we can c, this bird fly 1010-1020!km/h

so men who think about 262 how about kastrat in 1.11, just take speed about 800 on the 4-5000m and trim it at +5-10m/s and in alt where is was start droped speed trim in horisontal, be sure u will fly 1010+km/h in optimal alt and optimal alt will no 5500m no 6000m no 6500m, but it will about 9500m
so - 262 in 1.11 get tas ~1010km/h and best alt 9500
is it kastrat?

In my opinion in 1.1b it was castrated but now in 1.11 its much better...

I think the 262 works pretty fine with 1.11

Except at high altitudes where it becomes completely useless

Like Gunter, I think the 262 rules up to about 8700m. I just took on 8 pe-8 with 12 mustang escorts and killed 4 bombers once and 5 the other time. Once I got a bit of light damage from return fire. At no time were the Mustangs any kind of threat. I didn't fight the Mustangs, just ran around them and killed bombers.

Above 8700m I find the Mustang has the edge, but why fight it up there?

The 1.0 262 was a little overdone in maneuverability, which they corrected with 1.1b, unfortunately this patch did a hackjob on it's performance. The E-bleed was huge. Starting at 800 km/h you could barely complete an Immelmann at medium altitude. 1.1f was a huge relief. It became one the most accurately modelled a/c in FB. They also fixed the speed with the R4M setup which was about 200 km/h slower that it should have been. 1.11 is basically the same, but the permissible flap speeds are lower than accurate, and of course the ceiling is much too low. All things considered, it is one of the better modelled planes around. When the B-17 is introduced and P-51 become flyable, I'd hope they fix the 262's ceiling, and do so without porking the performance like in 1.1b. I'm optomistic about it being correct though, good job on the fixes 1C.

I like the patch, except for the bad E & top speed of the me262.
