Looks nice http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I must ask, is this cockpit of the day thing going to actually be a "daily" feature?

I think so. They told yesterday in the 'news' section. I think it's a great idea, because pits are the screens we're gonna see more often while playing, so this give us an accurate clue about the 'feel' of the game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

BTW, the raising seat isn't going to be of much help in the Corsair, because of the huge nose, but at least we'll see something left and right. Exactly as in real life, where they included bubble canopy and a higher seat to enhance the lame forward and back view of the first types. I hope this will be in the game: a standard higher point of view in the late versions of corsair.

What is unaccurate is to have a Mk.I on a carrier. The view was so limited in Mk.I that most FAA early Corsairs were almost exclusively flown from ground bases.

Really, is it just a skin job or does it have the clipped wings (be just deck cargo if it didn't, right?)?

So what is your point? I never said it wasn't a Martlet or that it was used in the Pacific. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

actually the FAA Martlet Mk.IV (in general a F4F-4 with a Wright R1820 Cyclone ) saw action with HMS Victorious early summer 1943 beside the only in the pacific available USN carrier USS Saratoga.

On the Corsair MkI are those Aussie or Kiwi roundels?

lets call them "commenwealth " roundels http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

red colours in the markings on allied planes werent very welcome in the pacific i think http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess they are trying to simulate the FAA circle and bar logo without actually having done the bar section.

Otherwise, it looks like Aussie roundels. At least the colors are more true to reality.

Last time I saw this model, it had clipped wings and a birdcage canopy... that was just before I sent it off to Luthier to get it included in the sim http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif (the external, that is!)

It's nice to see the CorsairMkI 0 with a mirror. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And notice too the P40's cockpit looks better than the one in FB/AEP. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
