Well I have never claimed to be an expert but I think he should post here. His article certianly brings a "level-headed" perspective to a place like this.

I must question your expertise m8.
"level-headed" perspectives seemingly never worked here before.
It's all about how long u can sustain arguing.
A simple matter of post count.

I have no evidence to support my claim, but my gut tells me I'm right. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

This is why I never seriously take part in FM/DM debates (except to make the random note of `how can we really know`), because I don`t know.

A lot of FM\DM debaters don`t seem to realise that they actually don`t know. When I first came here as a new user I never thought that anyone would dare say how an aircraft could fly without some kind of aeronautical\vintage aircraft experience, so I used to accept everything at face value.

It was only when I realised that some people were actually revising history to make it look like Luftwaffe planes could outturn Spitfires in BOB and that some had a ulterior motives for their FM\DM claims (like winning online battles in their favourite planes), that I stopped taking FM\DM whines too seriously.

Some FM/DM complaints have worked out reasonably well, as in the case of the I-16/P38 (perhaps a little too well), but I still remain highly cautious. I personally could NEVER argue in a debate about FMs unless i`d studied it at least 5 years and had some qualification in it.

The truth is, it comes down to who can continue the same old waffle contually without having the common sense to see how it`s just so much junk. Taggert has this especially well figured out and is expert at wearing everyone else down, then holding up the `forum-beat-everyone-else-pointlessly` medal... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Thankfully, Oleg does not change FMs and DMs on just what some forumer `thinks`.

Nice link:
"How to Participate in Flight Model / Damage Model Debates"

Its sarcasm by the way is quite true. I would`ve loved to write something like this myself.
