View Full Version : Front End Menue

03-28-2007, 04:00 PM
Has anybody ever noticed that in the front end menu, when you open up any other menu, it looks like it's pixelating http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif. Dumb computer... just kidding. it's almost like a computer screen. Sorta like it's a genetic memory being viewed from the future??? I know the game has some link to the future but i want to kmow if anybody else noticed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

03-28-2007, 05:15 PM
not on the first page...

plus I dont think im breaking any rules. I was just saying that the front menue looks like that.

03-28-2007, 07:18 PM
you mean the start menu?

here's a link to the pic that i think he's talking about?

http://gamepage.gaminghorizon.com/screenshot_viewer.php...3740&screen_id=18416 (http://gamepage.gaminghorizon.com/screenshot_viewer.php?tid=3740&screen_id=18416)

notice the notes underneath each option access notes taken by the assistant under quest log (basically the doctor or assistant helping you with the project)

World maps... all known maps of the area... yea...

options - control panel

then there's the background i forgot what that was called but that's a biology/chemistry thing with the bonds and cells and stuff.... going to go ahead and call it chemical bonds... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif my chemistry teacher was terrible last year if anyone wants to clarify exactly what that is i'd be happy to read the explanation and learn a little bit

then there's the ever so obvious Memory paused in the top left corner http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

that one screen really reveals alot about the game http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

03-28-2007, 10:22 PM
Those are chemical bonds, yes...But the compound seems endless, or it's just some kind of a decoration...

I also noted that there are some typos, like "acces", "all know" and "seetings"...

where do you see the typo "acces" i see it spelt "access" .. hah but anywho, iv never seen that pic befo.. thanks=]

03-29-2007, 01:59 AM
You can see "acces all know maps of the areas" under the "World Maps" option, which is supposed to be "Access all known maps of the area". And you can see "seetings" under the "options" option.

But I don't think those typos are a big deal, since the game isn't out yet and they can be fixed, remember that this screenshot is very old.

03-29-2007, 06:22 AM
cool. Acyually I was talking about the very front menue. like wright when you type in the site. It almost looks like a screen. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

03-29-2007, 09:05 AM
Can i just ask were on earth you found that screen. Im not saying its false but ive never seen it before.

03-29-2007, 09:35 AM
and 2 spelling mistakes in the same sentence... that's kinda weird

03-29-2007, 11:49 AM
It's false that you can tell with all the spelling mistakes like what FableB said, here are them:

'acces' instead of 'access',
'know' instead of 'known'
'seetings' instead of 'settings'

I mean come on, you can't fall for that.

03-29-2007, 12:11 PM
I personally hope that they dont do it so you are looking back on the past i think that it would be way to Sci Fi (because on the Screen shot it says memory paused) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif I feel that it would ruin the game

03-29-2007, 12:21 PM
I'm almost 100% sure thats how its going to be.

03-29-2007, 12:55 PM
I wonder what it says when I look at that picture and all I can see is that some of the Hydrogen atoms have formed two bonds (physically impossible) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif. If that is a real screenshot from the menu, I seriously hope Ubisoft fixes that before releasing the game.

EDIT: AC_Addict, that is pretty much the whole premise of the game: looking back through someone's genetic memory.

03-29-2007, 02:00 PM
Yea the most a hydrongen ion can have is four electrons and the pictures shows that there is a double bond meaning that there are four electrons being shared between the atoms

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they won't give Altair a laser rifle or anything. Although the premise may be Sci-Fi, the gameplay probably won't be.

03-29-2007, 03:25 PM
A single hydrogen atom exist in nature with only one electron in the outer shell (no need to say "outer" here, since it has only one shell anyway), when it forms a molecule it shares this electron with another electron from the other atom in which it's forming the molecule with, so that it fills its this shell with two electrons and become saturated...

So yes, that is another mistake in that screenshot, hydrogen atoms cannot form more than one chemical bond...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

03-29-2007, 03:38 PM

I dont want to know how you know that but I agree with you.

03-29-2007, 04:07 PM
Just like you said FableB there's alot of mistakes on there but I'm not quite convinced it's fake it's easy to make a typo and i know you're not the one who said it's fake and i know it's old i saw it a LOOONG time ago but i'm pretty sure that's the screen that guy was talking about so i just decided to let everyone see what he was talking about http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Edit: maybe there'll be an explanation to the double Hydrogen bond? or maybe it is just a mistake http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif hopefully one to be fixed or explained

03-29-2007, 04:14 PM
Maybe the typo's are supposed to be there???

It is a game afterall...not everything has to make sense.

03-29-2007, 04:17 PM
But again Jade has been saying they take pride in the realism this game has and the fact that EVERYTHING is explained

03-29-2007, 04:25 PM
Thank you for that explanation, FableB. I wasn't quite sure how to articulate what I was thinking, but you said it pretty well. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

03-29-2007, 05:27 PM
Articulate? Please keep the words nice and simple... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

03-30-2007, 05:33 PM
Definition of articulate:

expressing yourself easily or characterized by clear expressive language

03-31-2007, 12:19 AM
I was JUST about to report you for cursing! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">characterized?</pre>

03-31-2007, 02:45 AM
"characterized by clear expressive language" would be when you use articulate as an adjective e.g. an articulate individual http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

And why, pray tell, would you report me for cursing?

Now, to put this thread back ontopic again...for some reason, the music at the assassin's website reminds me a lot of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

03-31-2007, 05:15 AM
Dude I know what characterized mean, and I wasn't about to report you...It was a joke. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

When you see this smiley "http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" then it is most likely a joke...

As for this game being all just a memory, I will feel kinda let down if that's the case. I really buy games mostly for the story, like being part of a good movie (this obviously exludes multiplayer). So if all this is is a genetic memory, it's like one of those movies that at the end the main character just wakes up, and it was all a dream. Always dissapointing.

03-31-2007, 12:16 PM
Not quite it'll all make sense when we play it don't worry too much about the story right now

04-01-2007, 07:21 AM
This game is part of a trilogy. It says that in the all known facts thread, so im guesing that one of the games will be in the time period when the person is looking at the memory.

04-01-2007, 09:31 AM
maybe that screenshot is real, and since this takes place in the future (and past) they discovered different ways to bond stuff, thus letting them be able to look at someones memory (i just woke up stop making fun of my spelling).

04-01-2007, 11:19 AM
good point but the way the molicules work i dont think its possible

04-01-2007, 03:19 PM
There is logic, you can't have two bonds with only one electron...

One electron can't move in two orbitals at once, it's impossible.

04-01-2007, 04:57 PM
The chemistry i barely learned last year is starting to come back to me sooo i agree that the bonds just aren't right http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif but that doesn't discredit the screen it is just decoration after all and typos are just typos i've played games with tons of typos in them (harvest moon being one of them)

04-02-2007, 06:30 AM
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gifK-k-kem-iss-tree. kemistree! I did it!!! I R jeeneeyus

04-02-2007, 08:19 AM
Yes, I agree that it's just decoration and they didn't expect some severe chemistry freaks to look at each bond. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

04-02-2007, 11:02 AM
Most likely. You would think with all the research that went into this game they would make that more accurate http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

04-02-2007, 12:14 PM
They wanted it to look pretty therefore had to break the rules a little

04-02-2007, 01:09 PM
remember jade said something about you'll discover something that would affect the whole world and future ? Well i think someone's memory is being read to know what happend and to prevent this from happening or anything like that.
I'm not saying this is how it will be like, its just what i think

Let's not go on insulting people he had his opinion (which i don' understand =\ sorry) that doesn't make anybody a noob i don' like the term noob very much it's just annoying http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

04-04-2007, 12:19 AM
Keep the discussions civilized please - dont resort to flamings, insults, and anything of this sort.

04-04-2007, 04:07 PM
Sorry. P.S. I heard that moderators are volunteers. Is this true??? They would have to pay me ALOT to close topics. I just could not do that to my fellow Assassins creed fans. Waiting every day for a new answer to thier topic then BAM. Closed. Ouch-that hurt the pride.

04-04-2007, 05:13 PM
they usually answer the question before they lock it

y'know they're like look here for the answer and then lock unless it's a ridiculous topic then they get mad and are like >:P

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif if i'm wrong then uhh back on topic! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Um...In awnser to your question Cudbug
