This one looks pretty good, some decent research and references according to the description. Pre-ordered it and learned that it was shipped a couple of days ago. Really looking forward to it. BTW, if you like flying this a/c, try Hotspace's new campaign, "Cat's Eyes" about the nightfighter battles over England. Good stuff. Find it on missions downloads, PF website.

The new book should generate some new skins, too.

Ya - I like Beaufighters - I'm working on the Tamiya 1/4 scale kit right now. I've got VP Medias' desert campaign but I haven't got Cats' Eyes yet. There's a lot of Beau stuff out their for this game, very cool.

After playing "Beaufighters in the Desert" and "Cat's Eyes" I'm now a Beau fan. Great campaigns, both of them.

I've been eagerly anticipating Prangster's Mossie, but for the time being the Beau fits the bill nicely. Thanks to all the mission/campaign authors and skinners.

Hasn't arrived yet. If Gibson's bird is profiled, I'll PM you. All we ask is that you post it somewhere we can access it.

It's nice to see the "Aircraft of the Aces" series seemingly go along with the development of the IL-2 series. Just before the Beaufighter book they also released specific "Aces" books for the LaGG & Lavochkin and also Yakovlev planes. They also have installments about countries that have campaigns in the game (e.g. Finns, Hungarians, Slovaks, Romanians, Poles etc.) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Crowood Press have a new volume on the Beaufighter under their aviation section as well. Haven't seen it myself yet but intend to pick it up when money permits.

Sorry - modelers refer to 1/48th scale as "quarter scale" I've been doing it so long i just wrote it that way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
