To be honest.. I can think of a million things I would rather see before that.. but I would not kick it out of bed for eating crackers

If not in Storm of War I hope they have at least a plan for them at some point. If they were to do some sort of night fighting addon with radar, heavy bombers, target markers, and all of that good stuff then exhaust flames would be absolutely necessary.

Eye candy is nice... But I'd like to see better AI and clouds first. Honestly, the clouds in Il-2 sometimes just look... Ugh! Especially during thunderstorms, seeing the sun right above a hail of rain just kind of kills it. And the cotton balls off in ones and twos... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Exhaust flame isn't eye candy if done right. For one, the color of the flame can indicate if the fuel mix is correct. And when flying night missions the flames are essential as a visual cue for maintaining the formation.

For Allied pilots, blue formation keeping lights would aid in night formation flying.

If done properly the exhaust flame at night should stuff up your night vision. Except if you have the anti glare shields rivited onto the sides of your Hurricane of course http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Would open the door for realistic night missions.
