View Full Version : Why the heck does 109e7/Z engine die when GM.1 is on?

This baffles me. I have prop pitch on auto...full throttle..and then booom! Engine inoperable. No battle damage of any kind. Maybe the low altitude is something to do with it? I remember that it was for high altitude combat??

you answered your own question

do not engage GM1 below 6000 metres

In the aircraft specifications/viewing page, it says that you should not use it below 6,500 metres.

And even above 6000 m you have only limited time without any precautions before the engine dies.

This happened for me to before I figured out why.
