i was wondering who else here think we need just a few more cam views? i think the one i want the most is the "ordinance" view, where you can track the descent of the bomb with the freedom that F2 offers for you AC...

and unless im horribly misinformed, we also need a view that can track targets like individual AAs or individual convoy trucks...

Ordinance view would be cool, I noticed that feature when I goofed around with one of the versions of an A10 game a few years ago and liked it alot.

I've always wanted a gunsight camera view also and I hope BoB will incorporate ideas like this.

Indeed, why not user-configurable cam-views to be placed relative to objects, for example, put a camera in the tail, or in the wing where the guncamera was!

Guncameras did not shoot/film through the actual gunsight reticle(crosshairs, etc); usually they were located in the wing/wingroot(sometimes in the forward fuselage cowling/spinner). Therefore, the FB-PF No-cockpit, no-gunsight, so-called "Wonder Woman" option/view shows you what a guncamera would see.

That view is what is captured by FB-PF community members who make simulated WWII guncamera footage.

Now, given all that explanation, I agree it would be very nice if Oleg's BofB could have an automatic option to create guncam footage which could be keyed on-off during a combat mission, or be auto-linked to gunfire-key, then after the mission simply have an option to "Play GunCam footage", and have it appear/run already in Black and White(Greyscale), even with the sound of a projector running. It would be very cool if Oleg could have a briefing room sort of setup, in which a screen would be used for showing this guncam footage. This would seem to be relatively simple to implement, but would add immensely to the realism/immersion factor.

I want an action view during playback of tracks. Much like EAW had an action view, only this one would trigger views by events so the "editing" (view changes) is full of surprises and meaningful events.

For example, you switch to 'action view' and it shows your plane tracking the target and when you fire it switches the view to the target. Various triggers will determine the views. So later on your wingman shoots an He 111 and the gear drops due to damager - the camera automatically changes to a good position where you can watch the gear drop. Then a second later it switches to the next plane firing at whatever and then to the gunners flying back, althewhile including shots of fly bys etc.

But I too would like planes to be fitted with guncamera in it's historical spot. Only have it watchable after missions so that you can save it. Have it in B+W for early war and colour for later war.

i miss the EAW "ACTION" view..... gawd..do we need it here. so many nights i went to sleep with "action" turned on and fell asleep to the chatter, both by guns, and pilots. was really cool, having that play in background.
