Im sure a lot of people knew this series was being made, but if not think Band of Brothers Pacific style. This time it follows the Marines.

This is a product of Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg and Im pretty confident they are committed to historical accuracy and realism. There of course will always be a little Hollywoodism thrown in for good measure though.

Yeah, especially when Speilberg's involved. He'll likely propose that some orphaned, adorable Japanese kid be an energetic co-star running around feeding water to all the Marines on Iwo Jima. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I really enjoyed Band of Brothers so this new series should be good.

A large part of the subtext will likely be a lot of soul searching about Afghanistan.
