"All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king."

Armor glass will break when a bullet hits. It just has different layers and enough thickness to not allow the bullet to go through.

But it will definately be damaged by ANY bullet hit. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yes armored glass does break when hit by bullets. Armored doesn't mean it doesn't break, it only means the bullet will be absorbed by the different layers, and hopefully, won't penetrate.

You need to do research before saying something is bogus. You obviously have no clue what your talking about.

I think it's fine. As you don't lose the whole pane then you'd think the glass is doing it's job.

But the main thing is that it doesn't get in the way while I'm accurately simming a 109 pilot's workload by pressing up to 3 buttons on my keyboard and sipping a cup of tea.

Yes jippo, I have seen an Me109G-2/6(not sure) glass that was hit by a 20mm shell. You can see it in the national aviation museum in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. the story goes like this: the bulgarian pilot was attacking, when a P-38 attacked him head on, slightly above. the plane was hit by a pair of 20mm shells and a few .50cal bullets. one of the shells hit the armored glass in the lower left corner(looking from the pilots position)I have seen it, there is a 4 sm triangle that cracked from the main solid, where the shell hit, cracking the glass in 3-4 sm in depth. the crack is in the form of a pyramid, with base the surface of the glass and the peak 3-4 sm deep in the glass. totally, about 5 cubic sm of glass were destroyed, the rest staying together with the main solid. the early mods of the Me109, E some were equipped with a 40mm armored glass, capable of stopping a 13mm bullet or a few 7.92mm bullets. also as I am studying in the moment materials, Ceramics has this property of cracking, because the energy is absorbed by the whole solid, not just a part of it. that`s why you cannot have holes of bullets in armored glass, like you do in THIN plexiglass, that is plastic. Did you get the picture?
