I was just wondering if the Ju88 and the Mosquito had a bomb gunsight like the he111 and b25. Has the Ju88 only the dive gunsight...? And what about the Mosquito?

We will only be flying the Mk VI Mosquito, which is the fighter version. The bomber version is to be AI i believe http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There was also an all bomber version of the mosquito. That one probably had a bombsight too. And in the Ju-88, some versions should have it also.

Not probaly for sure!
The Mosquito Bomber (Its original task)
Was used by the Bomber Command Elite, to single out targets Photograph them, These Recon Photos would be used to plan a raid that could involve more then A 1000 Aircraft! Then in advance of the heavy bombers it would fly in low level to find the specific targets in the Chaos that late war bombed out City's were, and drop signal Markers around the target so that the heavy bombers could drop their ordenance even on overcasted targets, After the raid they would fly again A bomb damage assesment checking and even filming the damage to the target a very dangerous mission were the mosquito flew rooftop hight fullspeed often suprising the AAA crews with their pants down!
Seldom did A Luftwaffe fighter succeed in shooting down a mosquito, (If A Jagdwaffe pilot succeeded so this would be A honour for his record) but ofcourse the low level mission exposed it to all types of AAA or chrashes.
The Mosquito often were crewed by the Elite pathfinders navigators with special trainig for precision bombing and using radar guided navigation.
Most spectecular were the Bombing raids on precision targets in occupied Europe were they were keen of hitting A specific building like A City's Gestapo HQ triyng not to damage the surounding buildings for this they would drop the bombs from roof top height in to a building fliyng single file using long fuse times like 14 seconds so that all the attacking mossies would have passed over the target before detonation!
(This would make some bombs fly through the target wals exploding in the street tough)
Most spectecular was operation Jericho where Gestapo prison walls of in Amiens where bombed to allow many imprisoned Resistence members flee the prison!

the photo recon versions where slightly different from the bomber versions, still had a bombsight for doing a photo run, just like a bomb run but pics instead... because of this they where the best PR aircraft around. the spitfire and p38 also did good work in this area http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

it would be best to some up mossie as, any task, any where, any time http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

That was supposed to be the deal when Oleg got the completed models almost a year ago. In the meantime, we have been told we would have to purchase PF to get the Ju 88s. The latest now is that we have just been told that only the Ju 88A-4 "late" would probably make it as flyable.

Rip off ? If not, I wander what else ?

Of course but, Mosquito's did serve as pathfinders, didn't they? Lighting up targets at night for the big bomberforce of lancasters and wellingtons behind them. Wouldn't they've had a bombsight? Anyways, I remember a Mosquito cockpit for CFS1&2 having a nicely automated bombsight. It really did work like a charm. Altough Bombing wasn't really hard with CFS...

they had bombsights in the glassnosed mossies, and they often used oboe for marking, very acurate http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

mossie bombers also bombed berlin for 36nights in a row, with 4000lb bombs http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

also did airraid tours, flying over german cities to set off air raid sirens, and maybe not actully bombing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
