I hope somewhere in the (near) future we will have dedicated Jug v Raiden server. The clash of thunderbolts.

10-25-2005, 10:51 AM
Spitfire mkXIV u forgot that one

10-25-2005, 10:55 AM
Enough latewar junk. Doesn't the Warclouds bunch that seem to control the direction of this sim with their whines ever have enough? I've been waiting for a Ju88 since Jippo started modeling it back before FB I think its time offliners and online war guys step up and let your voice be heard over the latewar WF crowd! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I think you've been misled. The Foglore is just vapourware. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

10-25-2005, 11:20 AM
Tempest MKV Series II please.

10-25-2005, 11:44 AM
Veltro and Tempest. Also Raiden well ... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Anyway I wont shed a tear if Do-335 doesn't make it, regular ww2 piston fighters always have priority in my PoV.

10-25-2005, 03:22 PM
no shiden or F4U-4, no vote.

10-25-2005, 04:07 PM
do 335 because was amazing plane but tempest was very tough and good too, hard choice so both shood be in game please. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

10-25-2005, 06:03 PM
I'd rather have an A5M.

10-25-2005, 11:34 PM

That is a really tough decision they are all great planes. The P47N and F4U-4 should have been included in the original plane set when Pacific Fighters was released. The Tempest and Spit 14 are some of my favorite.

Overall I think the F4U-4 would be the most capable aircraft. It has it all; speed, climb, roll, manueverability, terrific bomb load, tough air frame/radial engine and it could take off and land on a carrier.

F4U-4 Corsair Needs to be included on the vote list

F4U-4 Corsair V-max Sea Level 384mph TAS, 465mph TAS at 20,000ft

10-25-2005, 11:44 PM
u forgot the fifty cals from teh list http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

i dont really want a -4 tho, looks ******ed with that nose oil cooler http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

10-26-2005, 12:25 AM
If the -4 ever gets included i wouldn't propably even notice anything else. And it would give us F4U flyers much better chances against 84s.

Also, i would like to see more planes for IJA/IJN capable of groundpounding.

10-26-2005, 04:17 AM
j2m3 me ^_^ hope n1k2j shiden kai if russia addon get.

dream mid/late fighter
ki-61-I-tei japanese 20mm instead mg-151-20 new tail
ki-61-II/ki-100-II teardrop canopy bit a6m
ki-43-II better engine/canopy/relecftor sight
ki-43-III prototype 2x20mm

10-26-2005, 05:37 AM
The N1K2 would be cool. It looks like a Japanese Jug!

10-26-2005, 06:01 AM
I voted for the MC202, as it is missing on the eastern front.
But I would hardlay call it a "late war fighter"

As it says in the original post:

(Note: The Folgore doesn't really fit this category, but should be considered for its historical merit. Technically, it's on par with early Spitfires.)

10-26-2005, 07:48 AM
Sorry about the late-model Corsair, but the list includes only those planes that are in the pipeline. Those are the only ones that have a chance of getting finished, according to posts by Oleg Maddox. The late-model Corsair isn't there.

I'd go for the Folgore. Historical importance matters more than performance to me.

However, it's a blue vs. red world. From the multi-player perspective, the MC.205 would probably be best. It would be able to hold it's own against late-war thoroughbreds. I'm not sure the Raiden is up to the same standard.

The late-war planes that I'd realy dream to see in PF as flyable are:

1) Mitsubishi J2M5 (with an optional use of 30 mm type 5 cannons, that were installed and tested in a real combat against B-29 on a minority J2M5s, and proved themself to be the best serial 30 mm aircraft guns of the WW2)

2) Kawasaki Ki-61-II Kai Otsu

3) Kawasaki Ki-61-I Tei (in both versions: Ki-61-I Kai C(in English transcription)with basic nose 2x20mm and wing 2x12.7mm armament; and the heavily armed interceptor known as Ki-61-I Kai D(in English transcription) with wing 2x30 mm Ho-105(the same as Ho-155M2) and 2x12.7mm guns in the nose)

4)Focke-Wulf FW-190D-12/R-11(the only version of that reached limitted serial production, saw limitted combat service at the end of the war, was flown by famous German ace Walter Krupinski)

That's what I love about it. Love those big radials and the Homare was the biggest Japan had. It's really closer to a hellcat with much better agility (and probably a lot less durability).

10-26-2005, 04:44 PM
Quite simply, I want all of them. Even though I'm primarily an early war kind of guy.

10-26-2005, 04:52 PM
Its interesting to call two mid-war aircraft as late-war. The Folgore was operational in mid 1941, while the Veltro was operational in mid 1943. They don't fit on this list.

I still selected the Folgore as it was historically needed for Eastern Front and the Med.

The lack of this plane is most sorely felt!

10-27-2005, 03:14 AM
Tempest all the way. Britain is the only of the major players that have no true 44 and later aircraft. The Russian's, USA and Luftwaffe - even Japan! all have several.

Mid war is my favourite time frame but as Tempest is only RAF aircraft on the list I voted for that. Italian planes should come out in payable Med add on with Folgore, Veltro new maps and maybe some bombers that would be worth paying for.

10-27-2005, 09:48 AM
Honestly, the only ones I'd be really interested in are the Bearcat and F4U-4. The others might be neat to play once or twice but I don't really care one way or the other if they make it in or not.

10-27-2005, 02:16 PM
Every morning I wake up I realize that it will be
another day of blue domination on warclouds. So I voted for Tempest.
Now if you excuse me I'm going out to find a life.(http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif just kidding)

10-27-2005, 03:04 PM
Obviously the F4U-4 and the F6F-5 because they are historically accurate in that they saw action. I'd like to see the late model Jug as well. The Shiden should be there, as well as the Raiden. This is the Pacific theatre after all. You can keep the late model FW190's and assorted Italian fighters, Germam jets and Bearcats. How about late model P-38's?

10-27-2005, 06:25 PM
We need a P-38G, A5M4, and Ki-27 alot more than any of those late war birds.

10-27-2005, 10:05 PM
Yep. Heck, I'd dump the P-38G in favor of a flyable IJAAF bomber of any kind (we need the G, but we can sub other P-38s, and we are simply SOL on any IJAAF bombers. Sticking just to fighetrs, perhaps a Ki-45 "Nick" instead of a bomber.

10-28-2005, 03:39 AM
I'd rather have an A5M.

God yes!

Edit: Although I would settle for one of these http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
