First I have a problem with my bf109... crosshairs, they are off to the side, see pic below. How do i fix this?

Second, during the setup I left the intro on, and deselected joystick as I was using keyboard at the time. Is there anyway to change this now?

Press shift-F1 to change your point of view.

2nd problem, start Il2setup from your game-folder to set intro and joystick to your likings.

This game is amazing. My god, and I am hooked on the Bf109z. That thing that is like 2 bf109s smashed together. The muzzle flash those guns give off on it is the size of the plane itself. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

try them all see which suits, i use the X45 and that rocks, Non FFB but the picture starts to shudder as u approach the stall so no problem here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif u get 2 sticks one is a throttle and that brings it to a new perspective, if you can afford it. Try Ebay u might pick one up cheap http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But a Stick is like a woman, they all have there foibles, but get the right one and you are set for life.....

Most of the time, yes.

I take it your game is not at the default location ie C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles

but you have installed it in a game folder or even on another drive.............. the patches auto install to the default location. You need to tell it where the game is or it will as you say make a new folder and drop them in it........... either tell the zip where to unzip it or take the contents of the folder after the first patch and drag it and drop it in the game folder
then do the same for the second one
but i would drag the zip file into the game folder and tell it to extract there
just dont leave it in the folder or if you ever reinstall it you will lose the downloaded patches
