Anyone notice how filty some 109 canopy glass is? g6 its so dirty it looks like your in a cloud on snow maps, the ground crews did clean them, I was flying the lagg 3 after watching some video footage where its higher exhaust which ran much dirtier and richer then 109s has absolutly zero dirt or glair where the canopy bends, even the oilspash you have complete gunsite visibility. People may say its a whine which it is i guess but little things like that make such a difference and need to be talked about to see if things can be changed

Yeah that was brought up in the Old IL2 days and ya see what it got nothing.

"Of all my accomplishments I may have achieved during the war, I am proudest of the fact that I never lost a wingman. It was my view that no kill was worth the life of a wingman. . . . Pilots in my unit who lost wingmen on this basis were prohibited from leading a [section]. They were made to fly as wingman, instead."

And yet I noticed the new P51 has no glass discoloration.. come to think of it, neither do any of the other newer planes, so this is what I think...

I bet, (Im a betting sort of person) that the glass was something that was going to be done on all planes, but as the development team started to get overloaded with additional planes, this "Feature" took a back seat to other issues.

Given that, I would venture to say that the "Fix" has been also overlooked due to more inportant issues.

The point I'd like to make is, either all planes should have it, or none should. Not just some... That way there is more game balance.

I agree. I see no reason to have dirty glass in some planes and not in others. It is hard enough to see thru all those canopy struts without adding to the problem!
