Hi thought you guys could help me as i get quick replys from these forums.

Around a year ago my pc started freezing at random
when doing anything on my pc. I changed my hard drive and the problem was solved. Recently this happened again and i realised my pc was getting very hot so i moved to a more ventilated area. Its
been ok for a month, when playing il2 yesterday it happened again.

My pc crashes at random when in windows or a game, and when left with screansaver on.

thanks......

definatly sounds like a heat problem, if it ha sbeen going on for some time then it might have effected you graphics card or memory. cases are designed to allow air flow so should not be run for extrended periods with side off, unless you have a large fan blowing air into it. rather you should invest in additional cooling fans or pci blowers to remove the hot air. you can check your motherboard operating temps by a program called motherboard monitor here
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and your memory here

http://www.memtest86.com/

run these tests for a good few hours and report back results

it might also be driver related so please post your dxdiag here by following these instructions

good luck

Thanks for the quick response.

Ive had to change my hard drive twice, this solves
the problem, for so long. Could it be the overheating damaging my hard drive.
