I got level 20 Marksman today at around 2.00 am central time. :P

I could have easily had it on wednesday using this method but i have a.d.d. and cant sit there and do this for too long :P. But this method is probably the fastest way to get marksman points, and it is pretty fast for the other skills as well.

If anyone wants to know a quick way to level up ALL skills using one method, here it is!
________________________________________________
Method:

1. Make a solo Terrorist Hunt on Kill House, and make the difficulty Realistic and enemy density High.
2. When you start, go up the stairs to your right (stop at the halfway point)and take cover on the corner of the wall, so that you can see the alley to your right (you should be on the second floor with the long catwalk)

Now, here is what you do for each of the 3 skills.

Marksmanship: By far the fastest. Equip an Assault Rifle, Preferably the Famas because of the accuracy, and make sure to put the silencer on it. Go to the designated spot and wait for a terrorist to come down the rope and kill him. Sometimes there will be a terrorist already on the catwalk about halfway down, just pick him off with a headshot. The terrorists will keep coming down that rope, so keep killing them until you have 27 enemies remaining.
Now, at the 27 mark, go up the rest of the stairs and kill the only terrorist on the top floor, he is in one of 3 locations up there. Then take aim across the map at the other top floor and pick off the terrorists over there, and when no more remain, there should be a terrorist coming up your rappel, let him kill you. Continue this for mega points ^_^

note: these may be troublesome because you are not silenced. Some terrorists will come down the fast rope to your far left on the bottom floor and shoot through the stairs at you. Be sure to kill them asap when they do this.

Assault: Throw c4 near the rope and let them come down, blow them up one by one until your c4 has run out, then do the same thing but with grenades. Run up the stairs and let the terrorist kill you and restart.

CQB: Equip a shotgun. Keep hugging the wall, and wait for the terrorists to come down the rope one by one, they will almost always run toward your corner. pop out when they are close enough and kill them. Do this fast though, if you hesitate for even a second they can easily kill you.
*If a terrorist comes down the rope and starts running the other way, shoot him in the back and you will still get CQB points*
Then run up the stairs and kill the last guy with a shotgun to the face, and let the terrorists across the map kill you. Rinse and repeat :P

Note, again, the terrorists will stop coming down the rope at the 27 enemies left mark.

This was the first "exploit" I discovered while playing solo terrorist hunt, figured it out right away. It's quite effective.
I was going to share with others, but I figured it was obvious enough that people would figure it out. I'm extremely close to maxing out my Marksmanship, most of it was from doing this over and over. Kinda cheap, but if you don't mind grinding and just want to rank up to unlock camo and gear, it's a great way.

I don't do Lone Wolf though, instead I have my guys cover the stairs that lead to the roof. This way they stay out of the way, and cover my back. But I only put them half way up so they don't steal any kills near the rappel line. Once they stop coming, I usually just go for long range kills at the other end. Sometimes more come through the window and on to the rappel line, even if the majority of the terrorists are eliminated.

Oh, and do not kill yourself, you'll lose 50XP each time you do (in case some people didn't realize that)

Not so original, but a very nice description of what to do. Should help others, nice job.

Thanks for the reply nightfox,

edit: Perhaps i should have brought the AI, just to guard the fastrope on the bottom floor.

Good advice as well :P

Also, Ubisoft, BRING BACK STREETS!!! :P

No problem, and Streets is still in the game. You have to go to Extras in the main menu, then Exclusive Content, put in your Ubisoft forum account information and download the map.

Thankfully Streets will always be included in a Rainbow Six game, it's been around for too long.

God i'm an idiot. Did i actually think they didn't put streets in? Someone slap me.
:/

ok, edit: Ubisoft, BRING BACK CALYPSO CASINO!!!

edit2: Hmm. Streets seems too...shadowy...for my liking. I really liked the vegas1 version better in terms of lighting. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

But hey, its streets! who am i to complain.

i almost maxed out all my stuff by just playing. Doing co-op terrorist hunts and being descent at MP. Just play the game, it's alot more fun then doing the same 4-5 kills over n over n over n over... etc..

yes, but i wanted to get the L85 specifically because my favorite game on the playstation 2, Socom II, had the IW-80 A2 which is (to my knowledge) the L85, and i loved that gun despite it sort of being labelled a noob gun.

I was going to stop there, but i figured... Arctic Warfare.. Counterstrike... hehe :P

I just had to see it in action.

And... this method is unbelievably fast, so i couldn't help it ^_^

I agree that playing co-op and multiplayer is a lot more entertaining, and that's what I play the majority of the time. It's not like I do that process for 4 hours straight. I want to rank up just so I can have new camo and gear, not to show off my e-p*nis. So if it goes a little quicker this way, I'll do it.

Who are you to decide what is "more fun" for a player? Some people might find grinding certain sections of a level to be enjoyable. I personally don't, but others might. Forgot you were the ultimate decision maker when it comes to fun in video games. All comes down to preference.

i found you could strecth this out a bit more in marksman:
start off the same but when you get to 27 go halfway down the catwalk you're facing (there should be some tires there) then go back to the spot you were at and pick off people on the rope until 23 (sometimes guy comes from other base just headshot him if he comes). then walk up the stairs to your base till your at the top of them then sprint to the other base and do the same spot(at the other base) and pick off a couple more rope guys and get a few more headshots. Around 16 17 left guys will start coming behind you either headshot them or let them kill you to start over.

CQB:
Do the same thing as marksman execpt for make sure that they get off the rope and their gun comes out before you shoot them. and dont be at the corner be closer to the rope, you should have a second or two to kill them before they turn. I like using a deagle for this part, accurate and still a one shot kill. at 27 run halfway down then come back and repeat till 23. Then at 23 go up to the top of the base kill the guys their and either die or try to kill all the guys that come to the roof.

Assault:
In campaign the first scene where your in the house i think is easier than repeating t-hunt over and over. After your first checkpoint when your about to go down some stairs order your teamats to hold. When you go down the stairs there should be some outfitting bins and a door. Make sure you have c4 and frags. through the door should be 3 guys talking in a group open the door throw c4 and kill all 3 go down the next flight of stairs and go back instead of toward the living room. There should be a guy and a door. Throw c4 on the door and make sure the guy sees you and starts shooting. Take cover then blow the c4 when the door opens then throw more c4 till everyone in that area is dead. Go down the next stairs and get killed to start over. (you can throw any leftover c4 or frags to try to get a few extra kills just make sure you don't get the checkpoint.)
This is what i did for Lvl 20 ACES good luck! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

One of my friends told me a good way to get up your Assault points. Do terrorist hunt in CQB Training, and equip incendiary and frag grenades. When you spawn, put your team mates in the bottom corner to your right. If you look down the hall to your right, you should see an enemy.

Theres around 5-6 people in that one room, so just throw a grenade from that first wall you see on your right, or charge in throwing grenades. You'll get a ton of kills. At times, enemies will come into that room from outside once they are alerted. So get ready to throw more frags.

Quick ACES points: Part 1 of first level. It's the room where there are 3 guys in it talking with each other (beneath the sniper) This part is a checkpoint. Open the right door, Throw C4 at them and BOOM (+9 Assault points) Keep reloading to the checkpoint and doing this. You can also take the left door and rush with a shotgun to get +9 CQB points, or blindfire and also get +9 CQB.

I completed my entire ACES with this, i did it like THIS because i was pissed at Ubisoft and i was not intending to waste lots of time on unlocking the stupid guns in whatever "normal" way.

hey i found easy places to aim to make it really easy!

when you get up the first set of stairs and are in 3rd person on the corner of the wall aim at the top of the first smoke stack!
you got to 27? no clear the too roofs(shoot the guys on the opposite roof) no go to the green boxes and look at the grappling rope on the right put your crosshairs just left of the rail closest to you and under the red wire connecting the roofs should be where the heads pop up when they climb up the wire should get you to about 20 then climb down the left rope and get your self killed!

Terrorist Hunt.
The Palinco (or whatever it's called) map.
Lone Wolf.
Bring a shotgun or SMG (for CQB) or C4/Breaches(for Assault)

When you start, head towards your left and run around the building until you see a window. Go into cover mode underneath the window, but don't smash the glass. If you just wait, about 5-6 terrorists run up to the window and start shooting (for some reason, they know you are there). You can either blindfire them for CQB points, or throw some C4 or frags in, for Assault points (C4 gives more points). When you've finished them off, keep going left around the building until you reach a dead end and a door. Place a breach charge on the door, blow it up, then run in and get shot. In total, you should get:

15-18 CQB or Assault points
another 2 Assault points

Don't start the match in single player though, start it up in an online private match, and don't invite anyone. The reason for this, is that when you die, you don't have to wait for the loading screen, and you can just start over again very quickly.

Nice one wolf, ive found that just running up to the window and throwing a c4 at a good spot in the middle, THEN ducking down has given better results for me :P

Easiest way to get Assault Points:

Kill House:
Run up the stairs all the way up and bank one nade off the top roof towards the door area, then run back down so you can see under the railing, throw a nade in between the two boxes you see. Doing this every game will guarantee you 2-5 nade kills every time.

also heres something i figured out how to get ur marksmanship up alot quicker on realistic play the level with the rec center the first part of it make sure u have an assualt rifle and then a sniper [ i perfer the psg or the one with the suppresser] and take out the light machine turrent gunner then just snipe all the tangos that come down the rope and are on the end it gets you about 25 marksmenship points at least in about 3 minutes

Nice tricks going to have to try them when i get back to box.

For CQB (or assult) a good one to go for is the convention centre (i think thats the map) if you go upstairs and not through the door until you get to an ally way with 2 ropes up on the right hand side and it turns round the bend to take you to the next set, you can sit there for just about the whole game killing people as they come up the ropes or round the corner, close the door behind you and more or less noone ever comes up behind you, just to be on the safe side put your 2 guys by the door just incase.

a good one for kill house is to get everyone down stares at the beginning, put your guys between the iron container and the door goin in, on normal they can do the whole thing for ya all you have to do to start the ball rolling is walk down the ally way on the left, throw a granade and shoot though the door. if ya want to get assult points up just thow a granade threw the door when a few guys come.
