Is there any sign of droptanks coming to Fw 190D-9 ?

In the end of the war almost every D-9 used those. It would be hard to make historical missions like Bodenplatte without those tanks.

Agreed completely, I am just a bit affraid that a non-removable bombrack would be added (like on A8), which will take some life-important kph... (not to mention in 3.04 D9 is already hindered in speed, being some 30kph slower than IRL at 2k alt - hope this gets fixed in 4.0). Also other historical bomb loadouts are more than wellcome on D9: SC50/250/500, AB250/500, ...

Agree.

Add it to the list with the Frederick bombs and wing cannon, the drop tank for the A8 & A9, the bombs for the Hurri IIc, etc.

someone haqd a dream , actually Butch2K , and this list is ancient !

Fw 190D-9
Wing weapons: 2x MG-151/20(inner 175 to 250 rpg most commonly 250)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (400 to 475rpg most commonly 450)
Options:
- 1x AB 500
- 1x SC 500
- 1x SD 500
- 1x AB 250
- 1x SC 250
- 1x SD 250
- 4x SC 70
- 4x SC 50
- 96x SD2 bomblets
- 1x Type D droptank

Only the 109F-4/R1 could use the Rüstsatz VII (MG151 gunpods), the other Friedrich did not have the necessary wiring in the wings and fuselage (Baureihen 109.882, 883, 884). This modification was introduced quite late, during F-4 production, hence the rustzustand (/R1) designation to differenciate between standard F-4, and gunpod-capable F-4.

Bf 109 Load-outs/Weapons

Bf 109E-4
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
none

Bf 109E-4/B

Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
- 96x SD2 or
- 4x SC50 or
- 1x SC250 or
- 1x SD250
Note : no 500kg were possible according to the research I made and in contradiction of radinger/schick book.

Bf 109E-7/B
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
Options:
- 96x SD2 or
- 4x SC50 or
- 1x SC250 or
- 1x SD250 or
- 1x Type D droptank

Bf 109E-7/Z
GM-1 seems not to be working
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
- 1x Type D droptank
note : the other loads should have been possible, but most probably not used since the aircraft was designed as a high altitude fighter rather than a Jabo.

Bf 109F-2
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (500 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151 (200 rounds)
Options:
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50

- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)

Bf 109F-4
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (500 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /R1 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg) (most probably /R1 was used to distinguish aircraft which could actually use the Rüstsatz VII : the MG151/20 gondolas, from aircraft which couldn€t)
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)

Bf 109G-2

- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)

Bf 109G-6 (Early)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)

- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)

Bf 109G-6 (Late)

- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70

- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)
Note : the MK108 gondola manual dates from July 1944 so I doubt earlier aircraft would have been equipped with it, since it required some change in the wing design. The most common version would have been the /U6, the manual clearly state that the modification is to be applied to the /U4.

Bf 109G-6/AS
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)

- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)
- Note : I doubt the /AS would have been fitted with rockets or underwing MK108, but add them if you wish.

Count me in here.....no loadouts at all whatsowever for the Friedrich is a travesty....

What about those /R4 20mm gondolas as well and sand filters?

SC500 + 2 X SC250 on Fw 190F-8?

Bf 109G-6/AS renamed to Bf 109G-14/AS and give me a real Bf 109G-6/AS (with DB605AS engine - without MW50) as well as a Bf 109G-6/U2 "field mod" (GM-1 Bf 109G-6/U2 "field converted" to MW50 use) circa Feb/March 1944.

While at it, change (if needed) the dates where the different late Gustav variants became available in offline dynamic campaigns to reflect real life. ie. Bf 109G-14 production began in June 1944 and Bf 109G-6/AS in July 1944.....so on so forth....

Add Wgr-21 to the list for G-6/R-2 and make them jettisonable. And by no means don't forget RZ65s
already for Bf-109F-2:

Anyway one bomb or gun pods for Bf-109Fs would make me already much more happier camper.

Yep, that loadout list is well over two years old http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not to mention the FW190s.

The Fw 190D-9 used the less draggy ETC 504 rack. It only took some 6km/h of the topspeed.
Plus, the D-9 actually looks kinda cool with the rack fitted. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Also, I'd like to have a D-9 with the old canopy as well! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Would like to see the ability to blow up the drop tank too then. On most guncam footage of 190's being shot down i see that the gunner aims at the drop tank, after which it blows up..

Would be cool as it adds a thing to whine about for the LW's too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

i can understand that with those crappy MG151's http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif
and after all .50cal can kill tigers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

need naplam droptanks for mossie too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

for 109F, id like it added as a seporate plane, like 109Flate or /R1 so that we can have a low gunned 109, useful for mission buliding http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

About canopy...maybe the D9 could have standard canopy while the D9 late could have the Galland one.
Just an idea... but I doubt these changes will be ever made. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I read in the book 'Bodenplatte' by John Manhro and Ron Pütz that IIRC JG 26 attacked with D-9s with WGr-21 launchers attached.

I'll have to look it up, though, but I'm certail it is stated somewhere.

PS did you notice there are 3 guys with a D-9 in their sig in this thread... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
