Hi guys!

Just remembered this little thing - you know, not being able to see the prop from the rear and also the setting of the virtual cockpit viewpoint too high.
Puts me off flying it, which is a shame - cos i'd like to more often...

Just wondered if it had been addressed in 4.02? Did not see it quoted on the leaked readme....

Yes that one should be fixed. Really funny invisible prop when it rotates.

the next patch for il2 which is soon to come, hopefully, just do what i do and forget about it and have fun with what u got

It's not just the prop - the engine hood is invisible too but I think at least the prop has been fixed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Its not that the hood is invisible Monstad - it's that the whole virtual cockpit has been programmed incorrectly to sit too high in relation to the external 3d model. Take a look out towards the wings - u should see the cannon and more of the wing at the root. Compare with the view from the Vb - thats the correct view from a spit pit.

Surprised that Blues havent picked up on this yet... it gives the Vc flyer a big advantage in visibility; I went on a server with the squadron last nite and took 6-7 kills without death, all with a lot of high defelection which is very difficult in other spits cos of the cowl....

Tommy the model on both the Vb and now the Vc have had a missing hoods. The Vb was fixed and it has to do with the Virtual Cocpit Model. The VC is incomplete. That really needs to be fixed I feel for the German gents flying the Med map we have at Spits_vs_109s they have not been under my nose LOL so they have been easy kills in the corner.
