View Full Version : Need help with my joystick

Hi guys, me again.

I have a problem, and that is that when I fly my plane seems to ban always to the left, I tried with my controls to correct the trim, but to no avail.
Also if I rejoin a game my trim that I have set, I need to always reset in the game.

Any ideas to what is going wrong??

The swing to the left is the normal effect of torque. If you have trim sliders/wheels/whatever on your joystick, make sure that they are assigned to the trim function in the game by going to controls and checking under the HOTAS settings.

The trim always resets itself to neutral if you are using the keyboard to set the trim.

Some aircraft don't have trim on all controls. Most German aircraft have trim only on elevator.
I-16 and one or two other early aircraft have no trim controls [edit: in the cockpit] at all.

Yeah it´s really nice in bf-109 to have to step on the rudder to be able to centre the ball http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
Read about this need in a test rapport done by some British testpilot after war. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

The need of trimming during flight is a great pleasure..better modeled now than before patch.

All aircraft have some form of trim, its just non adjustable on a lot, the Spitfire that I know has just had the ailerons renewed, these were set by bending the trailing edge down by hand, then test flying it and repeatedly bending the trailing edges till it flew level......... no tab, just good old British ingenuity.... If it ain't straight,Bend it..
