I'm sorry if there's another thread like this...

I'm just wondering if anyone else would want a game dedicated to the Templar's side of the story. I would definitely buy it.

I'm sure that guy said "My lord, who art in heaven, Halo be thy name"

Also, I have this odd feeling that game isn't actually related to AC.

An ACTUAL AC game from the Templar perspective would be pretty epic, imo.

I think Brotherhood's multiplayer might be the best we get for a while though.

It's not related to AC in any way, apart from the fact the Developers lifted some ideas from it.

Just something the OP might be interested in.

Doesn't look like there's gonna be a demo for TFT either :/

The video was pretty cool, although I do wish it was related to the Assassin's Creed storyline. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

You know no one is stopping is from creating our own story related to AC about the Templars. We could make a fan made epic movie. We could write a book. Besides, it would be interesting. Knowing that there are so much possibilities that are available.

I would love to play this from the Templar side. I always think that if I lived back then, I would have tried to join the Templars. They weren't really as bad as they are made out to be in the game. They started as an order of priest-warriors and were pretty awesome. I am sure as they gained power, corrupt people were attracted to it, happens with everything. But then they got royally screwed by a pope or a king who wanted their $$ (sorry, I forget who at the moment). Once that happened all of these rumors were spread about them, gave them a bad name, and a ton of them were tortured and executed. That is why they are at the head of all conspiracy theories today... did any escape? Did they become the Masons? etc. etc.

@ vorenus73: You're talking about joining the Templars in a forum about Assassin's Creed and saying they weren't bad...maybe we could forgive that if you're specifying the Templars of Altair's time, but the Templars of Ezio's time were definitely bad.

I have to agree though; in real life, if I lived back then, I would gladly join the Templars. As far as them surviving, there are plenty of conspiracy theorists who insist they exist inside the Freemasons. However, there was a book written about them (I can't remember the title now...excellent book though, been a few years since I read it) that examined Templar and Masonic history; no way they combined, at least not with the proof left behind (and both orders kept and keep fairly good records).

Actually, i think templars are the iluminatis, they keep trying to lead the world, and they are not bad, they are just corrupt ppl that are looking for power to get easy money...

I could see a Templar game. Working as a shadowy organization struggling to steer mankind's destiny in a constructive fashion, hounded on all sides by the terrifying hawk-men with alien powers and unerring vision.

correct me if I am wrong, but I think that any Templars in Ezio's time are just conjecture? They were basically ended as an order in the early 1300s. Any people still being Templars in 1500 - while completely possible - is something in the realm of speculation. Maybe I am off but I don't think the Templars were really around in Ezio's time.

Mario explains that in AC2, that the order went in hiding, now a days people refer to them as Freemason's, but i think Ubisoft doesn't want to hurt they're feelings in any way so they keep calling them templars.

yes, in reality, the templars were disbanded in the 1300s. They had essentially become the largest bank in Europe and the King of France at the time owed them ALOT of money. So he essentially conjurred up charges to get them disbanded and killed. the conspiracy theory crap is that they lived on and then formed the freemasons. i reckon as the historical timeline progresses in AC, well learn more about what happened and where abstergo came from.
